Looking for the story "Down and Out"

Started it long ago, before I even joined the board. When I try my link now the TB2K page comes up telling me "9idrr, you do not have permission to access this page" but an Admin hasn't been able to help me find out what I need to do.
Any thoughts/suggestions, or has this one been removed?
All help would be greatly appreciated.
    TIA

My thanks, sir. That pretty well explains it. I don't suppose you'd have any tips on where one might go to find it?

If you can figure out who wrote it, a PM might get you a copy.

Thanks, sir, but it's been too many years. For awhile I thought it might've been Machinist/Patience but now I've forgotten.
If there's anybody out there who could pass along a hint I'd greatly appreciate it.
    TIA
