There is no more FluTrackers on Facebook

The link above is to a thread on the Flutrackers forum. For those who followed the old H5N1 pandemic pandemonium may recall that Flutrackers got it's start then. It is a 503-c nonprofit well regarded for being a clearing house for disease outbreaks reporting. It covers the entire world and has international as well as domestic reporters.

"Sharon Sanders" is in charge and runs a very tight ship. No idle chit chat, simply reporting. They do have a discussion section that is very lightly used. For instance when the West Africa Ebola outbreak occurred (2014-2016), the only discussion was clinical because there were some members who had experience working in the region.

It appears that Sanders is unwilling to play along with the lack of privacy issues has in order to help monetize Facebook. It was being offered as a public service.

I bring this up because it is not just anti-vax sources that are being run out but respected news sources as well. I have never seen Flutrackers show any political bias at all.

My question is if having solid information about disease outbreaks is becoming politically incorrect or at least, inconvenient.

FT was an exciting place to be during the 2009 H1N1 Pandemic. We watched it spread state-by-state, kept track of cases, deaths, watched mutations. We even knew what was in our National Stockpile. Now, afaik, we don't even know if we have hand sanitizer.

I'm sad to see no discussion; we had some great ones 'back in the day.'

It doesn't appear that they were deplatformed in the usual sense of the word. But it is the same thing.

It could be that due to the pig ebola in China, they want to shut down everything reportable that could come back to that. Just a thought.
Being a Christian at this point in time is like a fish being out of water. Our home ain't here.
