The War Will Not End Until the Presidency of Donald Trump Ends

    Fair use

The War for the Soul of America
    By Patrick J. Buchanan Friday - November 9, 2018 at 3:32 am

The war in Washington will not end until the presidency of Donald Trump ends. Everyone seems to sense that now.

This is a fight to the finish.

A postelection truce that began with Trump congratulating House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi — “I give her a great deal of credit for what she’s done and what she’s accomplished” — was ancient history by nightfall.

With the forced resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his replacement by his chief of staff, Matthew Whitaker, the long-anticipated confrontation with Robert Mueller appears at hand.

Sessions had recused himself from the oversight role of the special counsel’s investigation into Russiagate. Whitaker has definitely not.

Before joining Justice, he said that the Mueller probe was overreaching, going places it had no authority to go, and that it could be leashed by a new attorney general and starved of funds until it passes away.

Whitaker was not chosen to be merely a place holder until a new AG is confirmed. He was picked so he can get the job done.

    And about time.

For two years, Trump has been under a cloud of unproven allegations and suspicion that he and top campaign officials colluded with Vladimir Putin’s Russia to thieve and publish the emails of the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

It is past time for Mueller to prove these charges or concede he has a busted flush, wrap up his investigation and go home.

And now, in T.S. Eliot’s words, Trump appears to have found “the strength to force the moment to its crisis.”

His attitude toward Mueller’s probe is taking on the aspect of Andrew Jackson’s attitude toward Nicholas Biddle’s Second Bank of the United States: It’s “trying to kill me, but I will kill it.”

Trump has been warned by congressional Democrats that if he in any way impedes the work of Mueller’s office, he risks impeachment.

    Well, let’s find out.

If the House Judiciary Committee of incoming chairman Jerrold Nadler wishes to impeach Trump for forcing Mueller to fish or cut bait, Trump’s allies should broaden the debate to the real motivation here of the defeated establishment: It detests the man the American people chose to lead their country and thus wants to use its political and cultural power to effect his removal.

Even before news of Sessions’ departure hit Wednesday, Trump was subjected to an antifa-style hassling by the White House press corps.

One reporter berated the president and refused to surrender the microphone. Others shouted support for his antics. A third demanded to know whether Trump’s admission that he’s a “nationalist” would give aid and comfort to “white nationalists.”

By picking up the credentials of CNN’s Jim Acosta and booting him out of the White House, Trump has set a good precedent.

Freedom of the press does not mean guaranteed immunity of the press from the same kind of abuse the press directs at the president.

John F. Kennedy was beloved by the media elite. Yet JFK canceled all White House subscriptions to the New York Herald Tribune and called the publisher of The New York Times to get him to pull reporter David Halberstam out of Vietnam for undermining U.S. morale in a war in which Green Berets were dying.

Some journalists have become Trump haters with press passes. And Trump is right to speak truth to mainstream media power and to accord to the chronically hostile press the same access to the White House to which Robert De Niro is entitled. Since the days of John Adams, the White House has been the president’s house, not the press’s house.

Pelosi appears the favorite to return as speaker of the House. But she may find her coming days in the post she loves to be less-than-happy times.

Some of her incoming committee chairs — namely, Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters and Elijah Cummings — seem less interested in legislative compromises than in rummaging through White House files for documents to damage the president, starting with his tax returns.

To a world watching with fascination this death struggle convulsing our capital, one wonders how attractive American democracy appears.

And just how much division can this democracy stand?

We know what the left thinks of Trump’s “base.”

Hillary Clinton told us. Half his supporters, she said, are a “basket of deplorables” who are “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic — you name it.” Lately, America’s populist right has been called fascist and neo-Nazi.

How can the left “unite” with people like that? Why should the left not try to drive such “racists” out of power by any means necessary?

This is the thinking that bred antifa.

As for those on the right — as they watch the left disparage the old heroes, tear down their monuments, purge Christianity from their public schools — they have come to conclude that their enemies are at root anti-Christian and anti-American.

How do we unify a nation where the opposing camps believe this?

What the Trump-establishment war is about is the soul of America, a war in which a compromise on principle can be seen as a betrayal.

The thing is the Dems in statements, both themselves and their shills, have made that they're going after everyone associated to Trump including family at every possible opportunity, which includes beyond his tenure. That kind of threat puts things into a whole different realm....

Um. Trump is not the problem. Conservatism, individualism, and excellence IS.

A successor to Trump with the same motivations will have the same push-back.

    Or worse.

Yes. What I was trying to get at was the Dems are pushing this to a place, while assuming their opponents "will take it" while they breech every law in their way, that in fact goes to "politics by other means" which only ends one way....

The marxists have decided real America and real Americans should be destroyed.

There is no 'making peace' with them as 'peace' to them means no real Americans draw any breath anywhere.

You cannot 'make peace' with those that want to murder you and steal all you have.

This is a fight to the finish.

It won't be over until either marxists or real Americans stand on the ashes of their rivals.

Unfortunately, that means rivers of blood. The marxist's only playbook.

Pretty much how I see it. Once eight years of Trump is over, that is when the war will really get started.

Yep, just because you're a vegetarian, doesn't mean the lion won't eat you. Unfortunately, too many have been brainwashed into believing that if you play nice, there won't be any problems. Let's try and understand and accept Islam and we can all live in peace. Let's try and improve the criminals lot in life and they won't turn to robbing and killing us. And on and on the story goes. The reality is that there is evil in the world that would as soon as exterminate you as look at you, especially is you get in the way of their ultimate goal.

    The Midterms: An English Viewpoint
Posted on November 8, 2018 by Baron Bodissey
From rainy Blighty, Seneca III sends this missive about our Midterms, plus analogous issues from his side of the North Atlantic.

The Midterms, Brexit, Red Meat & Bacon Tax, Bonfire Night Hate Crime, Counter-reproductive Sexual Deviancy and the Madness of the End Times
    by Seneca III

When it comes to the Midterm statistics I see it as a half and half result which, whilst not a total disaster, does not bode well. The House Dems are going to do everything in their power to put the brakes on Trump’s agenda, occupy his time and cut down on his room to maneuver with all sorts of claims, investigations and accusations, spurious and otherwise. Four people to watch and whose future demented ranting should go a long way towards helping Trump and the GOP in 2020 are Keith Ellison, MN; Ocasio-Cortez, NY; Nancy Pelosi, CA; and Hussein Obama now that he has been handed a free pass for the immediate future.

All in all there are a tumultuous couple of years ahead of us on both sides of the pond, and the potential for civil conflict has not gone away… in fact, it may have increased, as the result will have fired up the Dems over there and the Remainers over here. They will sooner rather than later go into overreach; the Brexit debacle continues apace and a conspiracy to bind us to the tyranny of Globalism for thirty pieces of Euros is the driving ethos of the political and monied classes. This is not going down well; those responsible are well-known and the temperature is rising.
Red Meat and Bacon Tax. Headline: “Price hike would offset cost of current meat eating to national health systems and help change public behaviour in similar way to smoking tax, research suggests
Sausages, bacon and other staples of the full English breakfast should have their prices raised by up to 80 per cent to prevent nearly 6,000 deaths a year and save the NHS more than £734m, according to a new study.

Raising taxes on red and processed meats enough to offset their cost to the health service could prevent hundreds of thousands of cancers, heart attacks and strokes, University of Oxford researchers said. Globally this would mean 220,000 fewer deaths a year and savings of $40bn (£30.6bn) if every country adopted a tailored levy based on their current levels of meat eating, they added…
…Food section: The World Health Organization declared processed red meat to be a carcinogen in 2015, and unprocessed red meat such as steaks and chops to be a probable carcinogen. However, people in rich nations eat more than the recommended amount of red meat, which is also linked to heart disease, strokes and diabetes.”
(These quotes are from The Guardian but it’s pretty much the same everywhere else, and my emboldened portions in the Food section snippet above tell us where this is coming from and why — after Carbon Tax Fraud comes Food Tax and then probably a Water Tax.)

Point of order: We Homo sapiens sapiens (even though the ‘sapient’ part appears to be in rapid decline) are an omnivorous species and have been so since or even before an anthropoid ape came down from the trees, lifted its knuckles out of the red African earth and stood upright. A significant part of a mammalian omnivore’s diet is animal protein; this is an evolutionary development that has worked well for millennia, not a passing fad, and requires an adequate supply of animal protein containing essential amino acids that cannot be metabolized but must be ingested.
These essential amino acids include the aromatic amino acids (tryptophan, tyrosine, phenylalanine) which are the biosynthetic precursors necessary for the metabolic production of the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Without them the human brain functions neither well nor particularly fast and may even atrophy over generations, particularly in conjunction with inbreeding, which tells you everything you need to know about Vegans.

Furthermore, savings (if any) from “…would prevent nearly 6,000 deaths a year and save the NHS more than £734m…” would no doubt be gobbled up by the cost of caring for the hundreds of thousands of those admitted with mental health problems as a result of a lack of essential neurotransmitters… do we really want to become a nation of dysfunctional Vegans?

Hate crime: The MSM is also awash with reports of a terrible, oh so terrible, Bonfire Night ‘Hate Crime’. Allegedly a bunch (originally five, now six) of white South London Brits (damn, are there still some left after all?) are said to have burned a cardboard replica of Grenfell Towers with representations of ‘Brown People’ in some of the windows which, when one thinks about it, was entirely logical as that was the majority makeup of the tenants and sub-tenants of that mostly taxpayer-subsidized accommodation. (Mind you, there has been little or no mention of the twelve or more Brown People who have been convicted of screwing the taxpayer out of millions in false claims following the fire.)

This small change to the annual combustion ritual took place on private property, their back garden, and nobody was beheaded, knifed or shot, but now, of course, having plenty of spare time on its hands, Plod has sprung into righteous action with great fanfare and arrested them for ‘Hate Crime’. A peculiar action when for centuries we’ve been burning the effigy of a dead Catholic for his having had the effrontery to be the only person to ever enter parliament with honest intent.
Abject stupidity coupled with ‘diversity training’ is now a prerequisite for police enrollment and promotion, and also for joining the Crown Prosecution Service — although in the latter case it is also helpful if you’re of a particular ethnicity and/or prone to banging your head on the floor on a Friday morning.

In overview these times do not present a pretty picture. I’ve long felt that things have to get worse, much worse, before the pushback begins, and when it does it will be brutal, and rightly so. The course of all human affairs tends to take the form of a pendulum swinging from left to right and never pauses at its point of equilibrium.
The Left, for want of a better word, reached its apogee recently and is now being accelerated downward possessed by the kinetic energy of its own grotesque positioning; the pendulum will not stop at the bottom but will pass through it and rapidly ascend to right carried by the weight of the visceral hatred with which its policies and impositions have burdened the socio-economic mainstream. The result is not going to be pretty.

Mass counter-reproductive sexual deviancy? Either you get the reason and where it is taking us, or you don’t — the euthanasia of all Globalists may be a solution.
    — Seneca III, currently being rained on from all directions in Middle England, this 7th day of November 2018.

I think we have all probably seen the meme below in one form or another.
I think it is true and we are at the stage of the cycle where we have created socialist - our children. People who grew up without really having to work for it and now, as adults, want the gravy train to continue.
Look at the election results. Beto came very close to beating Cruz. They are on the very cusp of turning Texas blue. In two years, they will import enough third world socialist to turn over Texas.

Can you imagine? California, New York AND Texas all going socialist? Man, there will be no place to hide.

    And next comes hard times.
That is when the "War" starts - the war that comes knocking on your front door in the evening shouting "we know where you live"
Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than a pesky raven?

At the TOP, they are talking about, as HC said, going against families and on after. Even the "5 Families" left the wives and kids out of their wars, unless the kids declared their allegiance (and usually "rolled their bones" to prove it).

What they are doing is SO stupid if they actually can SEE historical parallels.

But then again I grew up on the edges of "Family" matters so...

A whole 2-6 years from now?

    Not a chance.

Will Trump ever stop calling them "Democrats," and start calling them by their true name - the Marxist party?

THAT would assist the fence-sitters in understanding the true nature of this epic battle.

Today's "Democrats" have ZERO in common with the Democrats of old.

They are, however, identical to the Marxists of historical note.

Don't celebrate Karl Marx. His Communism has a death count in the millions.

    James Bovard, Opinion columnist Published 6:00 a.m. ET May 5, 2018 | Updated 10:12 a.m. ET May 5, 2018

It's Karl Marx's 200th birthday, but there's nothing to celebrate. His dream of a utopia led to millions of deaths at the hands of tyrants.
    germany_marx

Saturday marks 200 years since the birth of Karl Marx, and tributes are arising out around the globe. In a New York Times tribute headlined, “Happy Birthday, Karl Marx. You Were Right!” philosophy professor Jason Barker declared that “educated liberal opinion is today more or less unanimous in its agreement (with) Marx’s basic thesis” on the flaws of capitalism. But this is true only if “educated liberal opinion” simply does not care about tyranny.

But Marxism in practice didn’t work out so well. Communist regimes produced the greatest ideological carnage in human history, killing more than a hundred million people in the last century. While some apologists claim it is unfair to Marx to blame him, the seeds of tyranny were there from the start.

Marx’s salvation scheme was built on a mystical foundation supplied by German philosopher G.W.F. Hegel. Though The New York Times' eulogy for Marx touted Hegel as an advocate of a “rational liberal state,” Hegel was derided in his lifetime as the “royal Prussian court philosopher” and for promoting the notion that the State is inherently rational. Hegel deified government, asserting that “the State is the Divine Idea as it exists on earth.”

Marx, perhaps blinded by Hegel, never recognized the inherent danger of Leviathan. Nor did Marx explain how communism would actually arise after the demolition of capitalism. Equally important, he never even attempted to reveal how the State would “wither away” after the “dictatorship of the proletariat” commenced. Marx’s humanitarian piffle did nothing to deter Lenin from decreeing that “liberty is so precious that it must be rationed.”

Marxists assumed that vastly increasing government power was the key to liberating humanity. Glorifying command-and-control was the flipside of demonizing prices and profits. But all-powerful regimes quickly became ends in themselves. In 1932, Soviet dictator Josef Stalin decreed the death penalty for any theft of state property. As millions of Ukrainians were starving due to the brutal collectivization of farms, even children poaching a few ears of corn could be shot.

Marx continues to appeal to social justice warriors thanks to axioms such as “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” And who determines “need”? The presumably omniscient, benevolent State. Marxism promised to end the “class struggle” but did so by subjugating almost everyone to officialdom. Abolishing private property left people hostage to petty government officials who punished anyone who failed to kowtow to the latest dictates.

Marxist regimes felt entitled to inflict unlimited delusions on their victims — for the good of the people, or at least proletariats. East Germans were told the Berlin Wall existed to keep fascists out — even though all the killings by border guards involved East Germans heading West. Marxism promised a utopia, and that unsecured pledge sufficed to treat subjects like serfs bound to endlessly submit and obey. Anyone who tried to escape was treated as if they were stealing government property.

Communism is still often portrayed as morally superior to capitalism because it banishes greedy corporations poisoning people for profit. But East Bloc regimes became a vast graveyard for Mother Nature. Pollution was pervasive largely due to the deification of economic plans. As long as the factories roared and steel output rose, it didn’t matter if people and everything else were perishing.

I traveled behind the Iron Curtain many times in the mid-late 1980s to study first-hand the results of Marx’s philosophy. I saw pervasive fear in the faces of emaciated people on the streets of Bucharest, Romania, and I saw the terror in the eyes of young Czechs when anyone touched on the subject of politics. I experienced border guards who flew into a tizzy at any piece of paper that might contain subversive ideas. And I witnessed legions of western apologists who always insisted on giving communist regimes more time and more western handouts to redeem themselves.

Marx never intended for his doctrines to spur perpetual dread in hundreds of millions of victims. But it was criminally naive to expect happy results from any system that bestowed boundless power on rulers. On Marx’s birthday, never forget that a philosophy that begins by idealizing government will end by idealizing subjugation.

He just built the wall. It's a wall of guys in camo, but a wall nonetheless. And no one seems to have noticed.

To have any idea of what America will be post Trump, we must wait to see if he attains his ultimate goal-to bring down the Fed.
Nothing else he does matters if he cannot accomplish that.
And since he is a logical and strategic thinker, that must be his ultimate goal.

The Left, for want of a better word, reached its apogee recently
I would so LOVE for this to be true. Perhaps he means it's ultimate success is at an apogee. But I suspect that, in this country, their antics (ant fa, et. al.) have barely begun...

As I interpret scripture, especially Matt24....I believe that the deep state (Illuminati) wins for a while after us TRUMP voters pass away.

Yep, eventually the Marxist win, and they are the ones that will bring us the Anti Christ and a one world government...but they are DESTROYED with the Brightness of HIS RETURN!!

What worries me is that WW3 is a part of their plan.

So after 2020 or 2024 when Trump's era has drawn to a close, and we've elected the next raging liberal....will the right take a page from the leftest's book? Or will the right be like it was during Obama?

I just wonder how things may change as civility has deteriorated to such a new low.

I guess it all depends upon how hot the soon to be lit fire burns and how far teaching the flames are....

As I understand the Bible...there will always be a 'Remnant' here fighting the good fight, 'For God and Country'... The anit-christ may control the world...but never the *whole* world...and I believe the 'stronghold' of that 'Resistance' will be found here, in America.

The country of Israel was founded on God's word. America was also founded on God's word. There's always been a remnant of God's people in Israel...
