6 I’m proud of my nephew but just a little jealous

I’m proud of my nephew. A few won’t understand but I hope many will.

He lives in an area near Washington DC. He works for the gubment and makes a lot of money. Unlike so many “civil servants” he gives his all and EARNS his money. There is a huge difference between earning and just “getting” a paycheck. He started his career in the Army and served many years in Germany (last duty station). He was deep-deep into analytical evaluation of aerial surveillance and satellite images. Carried a super high security clearance.

Anyway, I am a little jealous that unfortunately I can’t attend his annual “black gun weekend”. He does this every June. He and his friends gather to shoot, brag and show off their new treasures. Many toys are class III suppressed so no one gets earache. They “shoot for group”, shoot for serious practice and just for plain fun. They are patriots!

It is good to know that all the people in DC are not like those we hear about. Yes, I am a little green with envy.

Possibly a "socially retarded" redneck rebel!

Some civil servants - really are.

But there are all too few of them.

Most U.S. government agencies are monuments to Parkinson's Law (where work expands to fill all available time), where thousands are doing the work of hundreds.

A man should only take a wife whose Bible includes Genesis, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Colossians, Malachi, Isaiah, Ephesians, Corinthians, Hebrews, Timothy, Titus, Proverbs, Mark, Peter & Revelation. Ecclesiastes 7:28 (NIV) tells him the odds.

I think we all have witnessed this reality....thousands doing the work of hundreds.... and then their pension needs to be supplemented again..
