I've driven round trip from North Alabama to Colorado Springs and Denver many times. From about 25 yo and up. They should be fine. Go around Memphis, don't stop in St Louis and rest should be fine.

Spring Break on the slopes if probably gearing up too. Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mt or Vail. Tell them to watch for the bikini skiing and find a good hot mineral spring to swim in.

I would carry a gun, just make sure the ammo and gun are locked up separate. May never need it, may never need it in an emergency. I've never been in that situation and hopefully never will, but I like to know that mine is within a grasp, even if I have to put it together.

    Safe travels to them.

Look, he's almost half way to 30. Also, you can't do anything about the "twenty-something sense of invincibility."

I have a suggestion for you. Just jump in your car and follow them around.

I travel alone since DH died. I spent all of last summer camping in the national forest in Colorado. Made a trip to southern Georgia to visit my son. Another trip to southern Alabama to look at a horse and numerous trips into Arkansas and Oklahoma. I watch where I go. Plan a head if I'm going to be staying overnight. Sometimes I have been pulling a horse trailer and horse other times just driving. Use your head it will be ok. And of course prayer is always there..and I carry.
