Really Lavender? Maybe where you live in California is a shit hole and that's too bad. I happen to live in the hills above Oroville, in a county that voted for Trump, cleanest water in the State, and I happen to like my custom built house on acreage. I don't consider "the whole State of California" a shit hole. San Francisco and Los Angeles I consider shit holes--only for their politics and the types of foreigners from shit hole countries who live there.

Maybe those who are having a nervous breakdown in the media over what they say Trump said, should immigrate to Haiti.

    Population

    ◾Haiti has a population of 10.5 million.
◾Over half – or 54% – of the population is aged under 25.
Life expectancy in Haiti is 63.5 years. In Ireland, life expectancy is 80.3 years.

    Poverty
◾Haiti ranks at 163 of 188 on the Human Development Index.
◾Haiti is one of the most unequal countries in the world: the richest 20% of its population holds more than 64% of its total wealth, while the poorest 20% hold hardly 1%.
◾2.5 million people in Haiti – or 24.7% of the population – are experiencing extreme poverty, meaning they live under $1.25 a day.
◾Poverty is largely rural, affecting 75.2% of those in rural areas and 40.8% in urban areas.
◾The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Haiti is just $824 per capita. This compares with an average GDP of $9,091 per capita in nearby Latin American and Caribbean countries, and a GDP of $54,374 per capita here in Ireland.
◾30% of the population in Haiti continues to have significant challenges in meeting their basic food needs: 165,000 are in severe food insecurity, and 860,000 would require urgent assistance if their situation worsened any further.

    Water and Sanitation
◾Just 27.6% – of the population in Haiti has access to improved sanitation facilities (World Bank, 2015). In fact, 80.8% of the rural population and 66.4% of the urban population only have unimproved sanitation access.
◾Over half – or 52.4% – of the rural population and 35.1% of the urban population only have access to unimproved drinking water sources.
◾Over 762,000 cases of cholera and almost 9,000 deaths as a result of the disease have been reported in Haiti since 2010, the epidemic spreading as a result of poor sanitation.

    Health
◾60% of the health system was destroyed during the 2010 earthquake, and 10% of Haiti’s health staff were either killed or left the country in the aftermath of the event. This left a huge gap in health service provision, which still has to be fully closed.
◾Every year, malaria affects almost one in twenty – or 500,000 – people in Haiti. Still, just 23% of children under five sleep under a treated mosquito net.
◾69 children out of every 1,000 never see their fifth birthday. This compares to the world average of 46.
◾An estimated 1 in 285 births in Haiti will result in a woman’s death.

    Education
◾4,992 schools in Haiti were affected by the 2010 earthquake, with 80% of these forced into closure due to the damage incurred.
◾The adult literacy rate in Haiti is just 49%.
◾Just 73% of children in rural areas in Haiti and 86% in urban areas are enrolled in primary education.
◾Only one third of all children aged 14 in Haiti are in the appropriate grade for their age.
◾Just 29% of people in Haiti aged over 25 attended secondary school; in fact, people of that age group received just 4.9 years of education on average.
◾Almost 80% of teachers in Haiti have not received any pre-service training.

    Shelter

◾The 2010 earthquake damaged or destroyed 175,682 homes in Haiti, leaving 2.1 million people homeless.
◾60,801 people affected by the 2010 earthquake are still living in 45 camps or camp-like situations across the island. On average, 82 people are forced to share one toilet in these camps.
◾Following the earthquake, an estimated 302,000 children were displaced to departments other than the one they lived in previously.
◾Only 11% of people in the Haitian countryside have access to energy compared with 63% in the island’s cities.

    Employment
◾Employment is extremely vulnerable in Haiti: over two-thirds of the labour force do not have formal jobs.
◾The working population includes an especially high proportion of self-employed (34.7%) and family (7.8%) workers, reflecting the insecurity of the labour market.
◾Employment is still not always enough to empower people to meet their basic needs: 44.9% of workers still live on less than $1.25 a day.

More political narrative posturing by the lefties. Please notice that an anonymous "source" is the origin of the alleged remarks. More than likely to counter Trump's latest real progress on reforming immigration in this country - including his one-upping the Dems on "compassion".

Y'all have just jumped at the media command again. This is a total nothing-burger; made up "outrage" and confirm the bias of people who already expect atrocious things to arrive via Trump's speech and tweets.

From your ignorant post, I see that you have not traveled around the world to see how people live in shit hole places like Haiti, Mexico, South America, Hong Kong, and the Caribbean. They are nasty ass. Ignorant people. Women sitting on the sidewalk with 4 children under the age of 5 and another one in the oven selling Chiclets. A family of 6 living on a junk in polluted water where they defecate and pee where they fish. The streets are filthy with trash, and you don't ever want to drink the water or eat the food. So Farmer John can I help you pack your bag, and I'll even pay for a one ticket with the stipulation that you never return to America?

Your speaking of mostly European countries. These socialist bastions are now being overrun by Muslim refuges and they've discovered too late the fix that they've gotten themselves into. Why have these nations been able to spend all that $ on 'free' healthcare, education, ect? Because they don't really have to fund a military as the U.S. has always been there to protect them...and of course they have some of the highest tax rates in the world and an overbearing government that regulates everything that they do. If that is your idea of freedom I'm sure they would welcome you with open arms. I don't agree with the US being the policeman of the world even though it's the neocons wet dream.

If I had my way we would be out of the U.N. and kick them out of the country. We wouldn't have our military spread out all over the world and we would mind our own business. We could take a lot of that wasted money and bring our infrastructure and health care back up to where it belongs by enforcing existing law and putting the people behind the medical monopoly's in prison. We would then see our healthcare costs plummet, ect. Socialism or Communism no thank you. That isn't what this country was originally based on and the end result is always horrific.
What is the lake of fire? What is it's purpose? Is the lake of fire eternal hell? Is there any hope of escape for those cast into this lake?

not sure why this thread is categorized under RACE as these countries of origin are shitholes based on any number of factors, e.g., North Korea is a shithole country, but Japan is not

anyway, Trump is 100% correct, and only morons cannot see the fact staring at them

    I figured it out.

The truth about the dossier and FISA was getting too close.

So the demons had to come up with something, anything to shake the people off the scent.

    CTH comment...

    arete55 says:

Scott Adams’ posted, last evening, an excellent Scope regarding POTUS’s use of the pejorative term “Shithole” in labeling his list of undesired counties that have been the origin of our latest massive immigration wave.

Although Adams consistently said (with a wink) how offensive the term is, and that he completely disavows the expression himself, he also noted how Trump was able to get CNN to use the term all day in their lower banner, which was truly laughable to him.

Trump pinned The Tail on the Donkey …Bigly

From now on…..anybody lampooning CNN, with CNN’s own logo, should attache a stream of toilet paper to it, thereby rendering CNN’s self-image as a “Shithole”….which it truly is…

This may have already been posted…Scott Adams’ Scope….

I cannot believe that in the history of the White House, in that Oval Office, any president has ever spoken the words that I personally heard our president speak yesterday. President Trump said things that were hate-filled, vile, and racist. He used those words repeatedly.

    Travel Advisory
    January 10, 2018
Mexico – Level 2: Exercise increased caution

Exercise increased caution in Mexico due to crime. Some areas have increased risk. Read the entire Travel Advisory.

Violent crime, such as homicide, kidnapping, carjacking, and robbery, is widespread.

The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in many areas of Mexico as U.S. government employees are prohibited from travel to these areas.

U.S. government employees are prohibited from intercity travel after dark in many areas of Mexico. U.S. government employees are also not permitted to drive from the U.S.-Mexico border to or from the interior parts of Mexico with the exception of daytime travel on Highway 15 between Nogales and Hermosillo.

Read the Safety and Security section on the country information page.

    Do not travel to:

    Colima state due to crime.
    Guerrero state due to crime.
    Michoacán state due to crime.
    Sinaloa state due to crime.
    Tamaulipas state due to crime.

For all other states in Mexico, please see detailed information below.

If you decide to travel to Mexico:

Use toll roads when possible and avoid driving at night.
Exercise increased caution when visiting local bars, nightclubs, and casinos.
Do not display signs of wealth, such as wearing expensive watches or jewelry.
Be extra vigilant when visiting banks or ATMs.
Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive Alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency.
Follow the Department of State on Facebook and Twitter.
Review the Crime and Safety Reports for Mexico.
U.S. citizens who travel abroad should always have a contingency plan for emergency situations. Review the Traveler’s Checklist.

Aguascalientes state – Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution

Exercise increased caution due to crime.

U.S. government employees are prohibited from traveling between cities at night. Additionally, U.S. government employees are prohibited from patronizing adult clubs and gambling establishments in Aguascalientes.

    ================================================== ===========

The travel advisory/WARNING for Haiti is even better. Mexico is at a Level 2, Haiti was shown as Level 3. Interesting factoid, however, is that a search of the State Department travel warnings (where I saw the threat levels defined) is now a 404 error message and not available.

    Haiti
    December 7, 2017

The Department of State warns U.S. citizens to carefully consider the risks of traveling to Haiti due to its current security environment and lack of adequate medical facilities and response. This is an update to the Travel Warning issued on September 12, 2017.

Kidnapping remains a threat, and armed robberies and violent assaults reported by U.S. citizens have risen in recent years. Do not share specific travel plans with strangers. Be aware that newly arrived travelers are targeted. Arrange to have your host or organization meet you at the airport upon arrival or pre-arranged airport to hotel transfers. Embassy personnel are prohibited from visiting public banks and ATMs, which are often targeted by criminals. Fewer incidents of crime are reported outside of Port-au-Prince, but Haitian authorities' ability to respond to emergencies is limited and in some areas nonexistent. U.S. Embassy employees are discouraged from walking in city neighborhoods, including in Petionville, during daylight, and are prohibited from walking in city neighborhoods, including Petionville, after dark. Visit only establishments with secured parking lots. U.S. Embassy personnel are under a curfew from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Embassy personnel must receive permission from the Embassy security officer to travel to some areas of Port-au-Prince, thus limiting the Embassy’s ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens.

Haiti wouldn't be such a shithole if the clintons hadn't robbed the hurricane donations. They can put that in their pipe and smoke it. I love Donal Trump, this country is blessed to have him as its president.

I, too, am wondering about the AGAIN ANONYMOUS source. Who were the leakers? One report I have read said there were two. Hmmmmmm, each to back the other up? Also read somewhere that it was a/or a couple? of CNN reporters who "overheard" that he said it??? I would really like for someone to track down where this has come from and, if another made up storyline, to nail their a**.

    . . . the words that I personally heard our president speak . . . [dick durbin]

OK, so there you are for one of the sources!

Hannity reported that Senator David Perdue was at that meeting and he didn't hear the President say "shithole". Senator Tom Cotton also stating that the term shithole was not used.

If '$#!+hole' Rings True, It May or May Not Be True
By Jim Treacher January 12, 2018

If you're reading this on the morning of January 12, 2018, you can turn on CNN or MSNBC right now and watch them freak out that President Trump may have said a bad word in a meeting.

    Josh Dawsey, Washington Post:

President Trump grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office when they discussed protecting immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal, according to several people briefed on the meeting.

“Why are we having all these people from $#!+hole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to countries mentioned by the lawmakers.

I've masked the profanity in this paraphrased quote, because I'm still new at PJM and I'm not sure if we can use that word here. Let's just say it's a rude slang term for excrement. Sorry if that's offensive.

If Trump said that, it certainly isn't very nice. There are lots of good people in those countries, and so on and so forth. Harrumph, harrumph, etc.

But do we know for a fact that he said it? Take a closer look at Dawsey's construction there. He got this from "several people briefed on the meeting." Oh, okay. So these people, whose names we do not know, were told that Trump said this bad word by somebody who was actually in the room at the time. We're getting it third-hand.

So, who are these unnamed people? Any hints? MSNBC's Kyle Griffin gives us one.

    [WARNING: Bad word!]

So it's been confirmed by... a Democrat. Who wasn't even in the room.

Hey, what more proof do you need?

I can believe Trump said what they're claiming he said. It's not at all implausible. But I've also noticed that the standard of proof gets a lot looser when a Republican is sworn in as president.

People are going to believe what they want to believe. Back in 2004, the NY Times coined the perfect term for this mindset: "Fake But Accurate." That's how they described the early '70s Texas Air National Guard memos about George W. Bush. Those memos turned out to be fake, but it didn't matter because they confirmed the NYT's biases. This attitude didn't save Dan Rather's career, but I suppose it was a comfort to them. They convinced themselves they still got the story right, regardless of the facts or the lack thereof.

And now, Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff has given us an indelible new phrase for this sort of "thinking":

They called us Deplorables, and we embraced the term.

They say Trump called turd whirled countries s***holes, and if he did we love it and if he didn't we wish he had.

No way for the Dhimmicrats to win if they count on pre-2016 snowflake type outrage from Deplorables.....

Yep, and "racist" is rapidly losing its sting and meaning, as well.

Although I personally eschew the use of profanity, the needle didn't move a jot on my offense-taking meter when I learned of this. The truth can be offensive, I suppose, but it sets one free. And President Trump's rhetorical query is the unvarnished truth.

The faux outrage by the left would be pretty funny if it wasn't so repetitive...and yet more ammo for their non-stop attacks. But I don't believe Trump's base is going to be much bothered by it. Presidents have been speaking crudely since the US' founding - everyone's just been programmed to be PC now, so the effect was proportionally greater than it would have been in say 1980. But consider, the left themselves say that we must accept limitless numbers from these very same countries because they are not safe/sound/healthy enough for people. Can't have it both ways: are these ** countries (in which case, it is why so many want to come to the US), or are they lovely, pleasant places (in which case, why do so many want to come to the US)?

Please folks, John doesn't know any better. He's most likely never seen, breathed and touched the real life effects of a no-shit, honest to goodness socialist paradise of which he admires.
