GTR: Woman demands full refund from Costco for 'dead' Christmas tree

[Next year every n*gger in the country will be trying this. The fact that she GOT the refund shows how afraid of n*ggers stores are - Dennis]

Woman demands full refund from Costco for 'dead' Christmas tree

Rather than toss her undecked Christmas tree in the trash, one not-so-jolly Californian headed to Costco for a refund.

According to a now-viral Facebook post from an eye witness cited by WFLA, the woman in question arrived at the Santa Clarita, Calif., store on Jan. 4 with her dead tree in tow demanding that she get her money back because it didn't stay lush and green for as long as expected.

"I CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP…Yesterday Jan 4, 2018 at my Costco. Shame on Costco, Shame on this loser, but it's going to start costing all of us when the word gets out….," the post began.

"Woman in line at Costco totally nonchalant, to return her Christmas Tree "because it is dead" on January 4th. I saw the whole thing go down with my own two eyes about 30 minutes ago. If I didn't see it, I wouldn't believe that someone had so little moral values or lack of conscience."

The kicker? Per the Facebook status, the woman was granted a full refund for the dead tree, though it wasn't without a little push-back from store employees.

"IT WAS QUESTIONED, VERIFIED PURCHASE ON HER ACCOUNT AND SHE WAS SHAMMED (SIC) TO A SMALL DEGREE…," the post read.

They jury is still out on whether this is genius or absolutely ridiculous.

Were I the manager, my response would have been, “Yes, it’s dead. It was dead when you bought it. You can only return it if it comes back to life. Bye now.”

Maybe she needed her money back so she could buy some dope.

    True.

I'm with Nowski 5% of them are - decent - intelligent - people.

I watched a tv show one time about the most absurdly frugal people.

They had this African woman who went in to the grocery store and pealed her banana first - so that she wasn't paying for peal.

They let her get away with it - IMO simply because she was black.

    I like that response.

Was behind woman at Costco a few years back returning rice. Her complaint; “it’s too wet”.
I wanted to say, “use less liquid”

It might happen once or twice then they will stop selling cut trees.

    Then you're racist.
    Then the picketing starts.
Then other shoppers get accosted trying to get in the store.
    Then Al Sharpton shows up.
    Then your store's on fire.

Stop me when any of this makes "hand over a refund" seem like a reasonable plan.

I don't like it any more than you do, but as long as they're willing to engage in weaponized lawlessness and we're not allowed to respond accordingly, it will continue like this.

I would of liked to see this be a small store owner who stood their ground. Who ripped em a new one, and laid it all out. That would of been a heck of a video.

Wow, in Santa Clarita? That is a really nice town, no slums as far as I know, or at least where I have been. Guess you can take the girl out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the girl.

That is exactly the process that would happen and every NigNog knows that.........so they get away with what they want................but back when they tried to burn down cities after MKL was killed the national guard showed up in my town with machine gun nests planted at store fronts and you never heard a peep out of them.

The only way to deal with the lawlessness of the Black underclass is by force............period.

Ever since civil rights was extended to these subs they have been out of control shucking and jiving their way out functioning responsibility in society.

This crap has been going on for Decades.

With my own story, I have to look back and wonder how K-Mart stayed in business so long.

I was head of loss prevention for K-Mart when I was younger. I got a call from the service desk for an irate customer. When I got up there, the white trash woman was screaming because they wouldn't give her a refund. I asked what the problem was and they told me that the pajamas she'd bought for her 11 year old son, no longer fit after 5 years. (he was now 16)
She alleged that the material was cheaply made and falling apart. (It was wearing out in the knees.)

I denied the refund and told her she had to leave the store because she was becoming 'Loud' and 'unruly'.
She demanded to speak to the manager of the store...who the service desk then paged. When he got up there, he granted the refund request.

I was appalled and explained that by giving in now, they were only setting themselves up for a constant barrage of refunds based on irrational demands.

They were just as stuck on stupid as the customer was. I walked away in disbelief.

If it's the woman in this photo, she looks white to me.

    Not surprising!
My wife works as a Live Nursery Specialist in one of the big box home improvement stores. After trimming the bottom of a Christmas tree, her customer asked her how tall the tree would get.
My wife had one of those special kind of wtf moments.

Our customer service in this country is overly accommodating.

I was checking out at a register in Walmart purchasing a party 35 cup coffee pot, I asked the cashier to check to see if all parts were in it, when she opened it it had grounds of coffee fall out, the coffee basket was 1/2 full of coffee grinds, people use it for their party and return and this shouldn’t happen.

In Home Depot return line, a guy was returning a diamond tile saw, it was defiantly used, with grey chalk water marks on Water pan, didn’t have a box and they gave him his money back after he said nothing was wrong with it.

This. And, I'd wager that it is more of a basis for social cohesion and high trust societies than rule of law.

Must have been the same manger I worked for at Wyatts. Black couple, ate everything on one plate, 90% on another than pulled out a bigassed Gerry Curl, put it on the plate and demanded a refund.

I told them 'No, that is your hair".

Called the manager, explained the situation so he gave them a refund AND free meal.

    Yeah.
I had to replace the battery in the wifes buggy last week. I'm in line at wal-mart with a 16 or 17 year old hispanic girl who has a really nice pink Christmas tree shoved/stuffed/crammed in the box it came in. She was returning it because.......the built in lights weren't bright enough.
No problem, she was refunded her money, on the spot.
I knew a guy who worked at the wal-mart gun counter for years. He had one customer who bought a new rifle every year, and 10 days later brought it back for a full refund. The customer would shoot a couple of deer and bring the rifle back for a full refund.

    The consequence is

No longer selling trees for anyone.

Not everyone takes the long view on the unintended consequences of their behavior.

Seems some lack the capacity to see beyond the moment these days.

First thought I had was that I might have refunded the money, followed by my new policy of no longer selling trees unless people bought them "as is' no refund allowed, or just stop selling them.

My son told me of a customer at Lowe's who painted some big ongoing project with one can of paint. He used 3/4ths of the can, returned it, got a refund, Bought another can of the same kind of paint, used 3/4ths of it, returned it... repeat. He said it went on about weekly for as long as he worked there. Everyone who worked there knew of this guy. They just kept letting him get away with it over and over.

Happens every year. Two or three people return them because they are “evergreens” and there is a 1 year plant guarantee.
