Prime Rib

The perfect prime rib recipe: However many lbs your prime rib is, for every pound multiply it by 5 minutes. 9 lbs = 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Make sure your oven is calibrated correctly.

1 cube of soft butter, 2 tbs of rib roast seasoning, 10 cloves of fresh crushed garlic. Mix the seasonings with the butter.
Coat the prime rib all around with the butter.

Make sure the roast is at room temperature - this is important to the cooking process.
If it's cold, it won't cook properly. When oven has reached 500 degrees, place prime rib in a roasting pan and place in the oven.

Cook the 9# roast for EXACTLY 45 minutes for a 9# roast. Turn the oven off AND DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN DOOR FOR 2 hours.
Remove roast from oven and carve it up.

It will be fork tender.

I found the recipe on Pinterest from a chef. I was skeptical at first, but decided to give it a try. Pleased with the results, it's a keeper.
