So far, reportedly, no children have been killed.

Gun control is not the issue here. The guy who did the shooting was a felon to begin with, and he got the gun illegally and was in a gun free zone. We need more law abiding citizens armed, and less gun control period. Criminals never abide by the law. #RanchoTehama

Well, seeing as the fibbies are now there, any info will get screened thru them. Meaning, not much. You will get more from the sheriff than the black suits.

I am really impressed that the name of the shooter (one) is Kevin... his neighbors claim he was crazy and threatening... and yet he remains unidentified.

The FBI is responding so it can be concluded that they "saw the need" to be there.

Is someone writing a manifesto to put in his apartment?

Is someone loading illegal weapons into his vehicle?

Is someone purging his Facebook and social media s***?

The gunman was fatally shot by sheriff’s deputies. His name has not been released. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Department said they were dealing with at least five separate crime scenes and were trying to assess the number of casualties.

Five people are dead after a gunman went on a killing spree through a northern Californian town on Tuesday morning.

The unnamed gunman was eventually killed by police at the Rancho Tehama Elementary School in northern California where he opened fire on students and staff as parents dropped off their children at around 8am.

He killed at least four people and injured numerous others before he was shoot at the school which was his final stop on a deadly drive through the town.

The shooting spree began at 7.52am at an address in the town where he shot several residents.

Witnesses said one man died in his driveway as a result of the first round of bullets. Neighbors there say they had been complaining for weeks about the gunman, who lived on the street, firing his gun late at night and early in the morning.

From there, the gunman is believed to have used a stolen truck to travel to the school where he injured at least three children and one adult before being brought down.

On his way, he opened fire on a woman and her daughter who was in a Ford truck on the main road leading in to the town. Both were taken to hospital along with three children and an adult from the school.

Another person was reportedly shot at Stagecoach Road and Oak Park Road, another intersection leading in to the town.

The gunman then arrived at the school and fired between 90 and 100 rounds with a semi-automatic rifle and two handguns before he was brought down.

Three children were injured including a six-year-old, according to witnesses who said the child was shot twice. Their conditions are not known.

Multiple students were airlifted to hospital it is not yet known of those killed were children or adults.

One six-year-old child was shot twice and another, whose age is not known, was shot in the leg, according to USA Today local affiliate the Record Searchlight.

Witnesses described hearing 'hundreds' of rounds as the shooting unfolded. Another, who lives near the school, described hearing children screaming.

'My truck was stolen and used today in the crime and it's terrible,' Brian Flint told KHSLTV.

The man added that the gunman was 'crazy' and that he was on bond for stabbing one of his female neighbors.

'As far as we know he was crazy. He shoots a lot of gunshots at night, in the morning. Like a hundred rounds,' he said.

He claimed to have called police numerous times to report the man for shooting his gun late at night and early in the morning.

He also said the female victim of the apparent stabbing was the wife of a neighbor who the gunman was fighting with.

After opening fire on his neighbors, the gunman drove 1.3 miles before opening fire again on a person at the corner of Stagecoach Road and Oak Park Road.

The circumstances of that shooting, which was reported by Red Bluff Daily News, are not known.

He then opened fire on the woman and her child at Rancho Tehama Road, shooting them through the window of their grey Ford pick-up truck before moving on to the school.

Parents were dropping off their children at the time and some hid inside along with teachers when the first rounds were fired.

Rancho Tehama is around 120 miles north of Sacramento and sits between the towns of Red Bluff and Corning.

Worth noting about the #RanchoTehama shooting is that authorities were notified of the murderer's potential for gun violence days, that neighbors were threatened and scared, before the killings, but the police did nothing to stop him.

The Texas church shooter was also pretty much a known felon.

Why were they out? Felons should be locked up, not let out, to punish law abiding citizens.

More prisons, I mean a massive amount of more prisons, need to be built. Known felons, need to be in cages, where they belong.

Again, some government agency has failed the American people.
    Perhaps on purpose, as planned?

I am waiting to see if he is another democrat! What college he went to and what studies he had. But really if it pans out the way I feel I think he is a pissed off nut with a case of mental issues.

Crap-ton of criminals and POT grows in #RanchoTehama #TehamaCounty Northern California and the Co. and State don't have manpower to deal with crazies. They'd run themselves ragged going out to every nutter w/a gun shooting "hundreds of rounds". This is the RealCA Folks. Real US.

Those of us with legal guns aren't going to surrender them.
The shooter was a felon in possession of a firearm. There's already a law forbidding that. What gun laws do you think would have prevented this?
Taking guns from the good guys isn't going to happen.

My take on this is the following. He gets nailed for stabbing a neighbor. Out on bail. Decides he doesn't want to go back to jail and suicide by cop is an option but he will take out the neighbor he hates and a few others along the way. The more he thinks about going to jail the more po'd he gets, firing on anyone he sees. Gonna make it good before he bites a bullet sent his way.

    Nut case.

I'm gonna take it a step further than more prisons. If these felons are so bad we have to lock them up forever, then let's just put them out of our misery. I sure don't want to care for their worthless a** for life. My family already has our state taxes go to caring for the POS that stabbed to death two family members back in the seventies. I'm all for a short rope and a quick stop! It's a heck of a lot cheaper and a permanent solution to the issue.

Sounds like this was in the State of Jefferson. Kevin the Crazy would shoot hundreds of rounds a night. That costs a lot of money. Kevin the Crazy is a Felon with no right to own a firearm and he is out on bail for stabbing a neighbors wife. Incident occurred in big pot grow and drug area. MK's are made to order under the influence of drugs. Part of the process. Lots and lots of questions without answers. Especially since two people were seen shooting at the school but that has long been forgotten since the proper authorities have arrived. I will give the handlers credit on being able to scrub the social media and only release the name Kevin the Crazy. They are on a higher learning curve.
