Back in Iowa, where I belong
The world's finest eggnog is made in Iowa. Adding liqueur is optional. I have NEVER found any other 'nog that can compare with Anderson Erickson (AE). I craved that stuff so badly that when we came back to Iowa to visit while living in AZ during eggnog season I would carry back 10 bottles I swear.

“Eggnog may be frozen for up to six months. For best results, freeze eggnog in a container with a little extra room (about 1/2-inch of space from the top) to allow for expansion during freezing. Frozen egg nog should be good for about 6 months, whether it is store bought or home made

Get ready for eggnog smoothies in the summer. Freeze the cartons upright. Then after the liquid is frozen, place the carton in heavy plastic freezer storage bags. "When ready to use, always thaw the frozen product in the refrigerator, never at room temperature.”

I have frozen 1 qt and ˝ gal cartons in a chest freezer at -8 deg F…….works great…..just like milk, you need to thaw it out completely in the refrigerator, and mix it up, before using it.
I have never put any into freezer bags.
I think it would last for years…..I know it will stay very good for 10 months
