    New Updates

4/14/17 - Afternoon: Andrea (Baby Jack's Mom) finally rested some, after her little man started doing better this afternoon and making improvements.

4/14:17 - 11:15pm: They just made their last visit to see Jack, before retiring for the night. Jack's oxygen level is 88% and ventilator is 38%. This is all great news!"

    Praise the Lord!

That's wonderful Suzieq, but please realize that this is definitely a marathon and not a dash. Some days you will undoubtedly feel like it's one step forward and two steps back, so prepare for those "emotional roller coaster" days because they will happen. Continued prayers for baby Jack and the familly.

I have good news and bad news today.

Baby Jack is having a great day! Praise the Lord!

Now for the bad news, my brother Don, who had lung cancer, passed away this morning. He knew the Lord and was ready to go home. He will surely be missed by us all!

Little Jack has no fever and came off the ventilator today! He's only wearing an oxygen mask. Mother got to hold the baby for the first time today. You should have seen the smile on her face. She was one happy lady! Praise the Lord!

I am so sorry to read of your brother's death Suzieq. Even with the good news of Jack's turn for the better, it must be so bittersweet. My prayers will continue.

Sorry, I have not been on in several days. My brother passed away. We did not have internet service where we stayed. Could only call and text with my phone.

Urgent Prayer Request for my niece (Andrea) and Baby Jack this morning. The mother and Baby has not been doing well. Baby has fever and back on respirator. Mother is having trouble with her sugar levels. Please pray for both of them.

Little Jack had to be moved by ambulance, to a bigger hospital, on a Friday night, due to having a fever. He is about 40 minutes away from where he is now.

Yes, I have new updates on baby Jack and his Mom.

    Updates

4/22/17 between 12:00pm - 2:30pm: As you know, little Jack got transport to a children's hospital late lastnight. It is a bigger hospital with more specialists. They discover this morning, that little Jack had a small tear in his abdomen, which got infected and caused his to have a fever. So within a couple of hours, they put in a small tube to drain infection in that area. After tube procedure, Jack started to improve. Family was so happy doctors chose to move him lastnight, to a difference hospital.

4/22/17 at 6:21pm: Mother and Grandmother spent time with Jack this afternoon. His tiny drain tubes are working. From the fluid they collect, they know the correct antibiotic to give him. Nurse said he has been restored and stable since the procedure. Baby has been kicking his legs up, so that's a good sign he is doing better. Mother is dong better today, with her sugar levels.

Please keep both Mom & Baby Jack in your prayers. Thank you!

    Thanks for the update.

I am so glad they moved him and finally found what the problem was.

Prayers for his and his mother's continued improvement.

The lower stress levels after they finally found the problem with little Jack and his improvement probably played at least a small part in his mom's improvement too.

I agree the lower stress level would be a help in the Mother's improvement. Thanks for the prayers.

They moved him to a second hospital, which is 40 miles north of where he was located. He is in a Children's hospital.

I just got up. Here's what I know so far.

    From Grandmother of Baby Jack:

Keep Prayer chain going. Jack is out of surgery. The doctor fixed the hole in Jack's intestine.

The procedure was complicated but it was the only way he could get better.

The infection he has is a yeast infection. Not common in babies. It is taking 2 medicines to treat.

Jack will need prayers to have a quick recovery. Keep the prayers going. They were certainly answered last night.
    From Jack's Mother:

Thank you all for the prayers!

They said the surgery had the best possible outcome. The hole they fixed was not nearly as bad as it could've been. Jack is still very sick with the infection and the meds are hard on his little body. He has a hard road ahead, but he is such a fighter! So thankful... so very thankful!

Still praying for little Jack and family. One of the twins had a similar experience. He had to have an emergency colostomy because some of his intestine had become severely infected. After about a month, they reversed the colostomy and he hasn't had any problems since. They're lucky he could be moved someplace fairly close. We had one twin in a hospital that was 4 hours from the other one for about 2 months! We put alot of miles on the car!

The first picture was taken after his first surgery-he was about a month old at the time. The second picture was taken about 3 months ago-he was 9 months old.
