Shocking Connection: 97% of all Terminal Cancer Patients Previously Had This DentaL Procedure

Do you have a chronic degenerative disease? If so, have you been told, “It’s all in your head?” Well, that might not be that far from the truth… the root cause of your illness may be in your mouth.

    What is this dental procedure?

The root canal. More than 25 million root canals are performed every year in this country.

There is a common dental procedure that nearly every dentist will tell you is completely safe, despite the fact that scientists have been warning of its dangers for more than 100 years. Every day in the United States alone, 41,000 of these dental procedures are performed on patients who believe they are safely and permanently fixing their problem.

Root-canaled teeth are essentially “dead” teeth that can become silent incubators for highly toxic anaerobic bacteria that can, under certain conditions, make their way into your bloodstream to cause a number of serious medical conditions—many not appearing until decades later.

Most of these toxic teeth feel and look fine for many years, which make their role in systemic disease even harder to trace back.

Sadly, the vast majority of dentists are oblivious to the serious potential health risks they are exposing their patients to, risks that persist for the rest of their patients’ lives. The American Dental Association claims root canals have been proven safe, but they have NO published data or actual research to substantiate this claim.

Fortunately, I had some early mentors like Dr. Tom Stone and Dr. Douglas Cook, who educated me on this issue nearly 20 years ago. Were it not for a brilliant pioneering dentist who, more than a century ago, made the connection between root-canaled teeth and disease, this underlying cause of disease may have remained hidden to this day. The dentist’s name was Weston Price — regarded by many as the greatest dentist of all time.

Weston A. Price: World’s Greatest Dentist

Most dentists would be doing an enormous service to public health if they familiarized themselves with the work of Dr. Weston Pricei. Unfortunately, his work continues to be discounted and suppressed by medical and dental professionals alike.

Dr. Price was a dentist and researcher who traveled the world to study the teeth, bones, and diets of native populations living without the “benefit” of modern food. Around the year 1900, Price had been treating persistent root canal infections and became suspicious that root-canaled teeth always remained infected, in spite of treatments. Then one day, he recommended to a woman, wheelchair bound for six years, to have her root canal tooth extracted, even though it appeared to be fine.

She agreed, so he extracted her tooth and then implanted it under the skin of a rabbit. The rabbit amazingly developed the same crippling arthritis as the woman and died from the infection 10 days later. But the woman, now free of the toxic tooth, immediately recovered from her arthritis and could now walk without even the assistance of a cane.

Price discovered that it’s mechanically impossible to sterilize a root-canaled (e.g. root-filled) tooth.

He then went on to show that many chronic degenerative diseases originate from root-filled teeth—the most frequent being heart and circulatory diseases. He actually found 16 different causative bacterial agents for these conditions. But there were also strong correlations between root-filled teeth and diseases of the joints, brain and nervous system.

Dr. Price went on to write two groundbreaking books in 1922 detailing his research into the link between dental pathology and chronic illness. Unfortunately, his work was deliberately buried for 70 years, until finally one endodontist named George Meinig recognized the importance of Price’s work and sought to expose the truth.

Dr. Meinig advances the work of Dr. Price

Dr. Meinig, a native of Chicago, was a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II before moving to Hollywood to become a dentist for the stars. He eventually became one of the founding members of the American Association of Endodontists (root canal specialists).

In the 1990s, he spent 18 months immersed in Dr. Price’s research. In June of 1993, Dr. Meinig published the book Root Canal Cover-Up, which continues to be the most comprehensive reference on this topic today. You can order your copy directly from the Price-Pottenger Foundation. ii

What dentists don’t know about the anatomy of your teeth

Your teeth are made of the hardest substances in your body.

In the middle of each tooth is the pulp chamber, a soft living inner structure that houses blood vessels and nerves. Surrounding the pulp chamber is the dentin, which is made of living cells that secrete a hard mineral substance. The outermost and hardest layer of your tooth is the white enamel, which encases the dentin.

The roots of each tooth descend into your jawbone and are held in place by the periodontal ligament. In dental school, dentists are taught that each tooth has one to four major canals. However, there are accessory canals that are never mentioned. Literally miles of them!

Just as your body has large blood vessels that branch down into very small capillaries, each of your teeth has a maze of very tiny tubules that, if stretched out, would extend for three miles. Weston Price identified as many as 75 separate accessory canals in a single central incisor (front tooth). For a more detailed explanation, refer to an article by Hal Huggins, DDS, MS, on the Weston A. Price Foundation website.iii (These images are borrowed from the Huggins article.)

Microscopic organisms regularly move in and around these tubules, like gophers in underground tunnels.

When a dentist performs a root canal, he or she hollows out the tooth, then fills the hollow chamber with a substance (called guttapercha), which cuts off the tooth from its blood supply, so fluid can no longer circulate through the tooth. But the maze of tiny tubules remains. And bacteria, cut off from their food supply, hide out in these tunnels where they are remarkably safe from antibiotics and your own body’s immune defenses.

The root cause of much disease

Under the stresses of oxygen and nutrient deprivation, these formerly friendly organisms morph into stronger, more virulent anaerobes that produce a variety of potent toxins. What were once ordinary, friendly oral bacteria mutate into highly toxic pathogens lurking in the tubules of the dead tooth, just awaiting an opportunity to spread.

No amount of sterilization has been found effective in reaching these tubules — and just about every single root-canaled tooth has been found colonized by these bacteria, especially around the apex and in the periodontal ligament. Oftentimes, the infection extends down into the jawbone where it creates cavitations — areas of necrotic tissue in the jawbone itself.

Cavitations are areas of unhealed bone, often accompanied by pockets of infected tissue and gangrene. Sometimes they form after a tooth extraction (such as a wisdom tooth extraction), but they can also follow a root canal. According to Weston Price Foundation, in the records of 5,000 surgical cavitation cleanings, only two were found healed.

And all of this occurs with few, if any, accompanying symptoms. So you may have an abscessed dead tooth and not know it. This focal infection in the immediate area of the root-canaled tooth is bad enough, but the damage doesn’t stop there.

Root canals can lead to heart, kidney, bone, and brain disease

As long as your immune system remains strong, any bacteria that stray away from the infected tooth are captured and destroyed. But once your immune system is weakened by something like an accident or illness or other trauma, your immune system may be unable to keep the infection in check.

These bacteria can migrate out into surrounding tissues by hitching a ride into your blood stream, where they are transported to new locations to set up camp. The new location can be any organ or gland or tissue.

Dr. Price was able to transfer diseases harbored by humans to rabbits, by implanting fragments of root-canaled teeth, as mentioned above. He found that root canal fragments from a person who had suffered a heart attack, when implanted into a rabbit, would cause a heart attack in the rabbit within a few weeks.

He discovered he could transfer heart disease to the rabbit 100 percent of the time! Other diseases were more than 80 percent transferable by this method. Nearly every chronic degenerative disease has been linked with root canals, including:
    - Heart disease
    - Kidney disease
    - Arthritis, joint, and rheumatic diseases
    - Neurological diseases (including ALS and MS)
    - Autoimmune diseases (Lupus and more)
There may also be a cancer connection. Dr. Robert Jones, a researcher of therelationship between root canals and breast cancer, found an extremely high correlation between root canals and breast cancer.iv He claims to have found the following correlations in a five-year study of 300 breast cancer cases:
-93 percent of women with breast cancer had root canals
-7 percent had other oral pathology
-Tumors, in the majority of cases, occurred on the same side of the body as the root canal(s) or other oral pathology
Dr. Jones claims that toxins from the bacteria in an infected tooth or jawbone are able to inhibit the proteins that suppress tumor development. A German physician reported similar findings. Dr. Josef Issels reported that, in his 40 years of treating “terminal” cancer patients, 97 percent of his cancer patients had root canals. If these physicians are correct, the cure for cancer may be as simple as having a tooth pulled, then rebuilding your immune system.

    Good bugs gone bad

How are these mutant oral bacteria connected with heart disease or arthritis? The ADA and the AAE claim it’s a “myth” that the bacteria found in and around root-canaled teeth can cause diseasev. But they base that on the misguided assumption that the bacteria in these diseased teeth are the SAME as normal bacteria in your mouth — and that’s clearly not the case.

Today, bacteria can be identified using DNA analysis, whether they’re dead or alive, from their telltale DNA signatures.

In a continuation of Dr. Price’s work, the Toxic Element Research Foundation (TERF) used DNA analysis to examine root-canaled teeth, and they found bacterial contamination in 100 percent of the samples tested. They identified 42 different species of anaerobic bacteria in 43 root canal samples. In cavitations, 67 different bacteria were identified among the 85 samples tested, with individual samples housing between 19 to 53 types of bacteria each. The bacteria they found included the following types:
    - Capnocytophagaochracea
    - Fusobacteriumnucleatum
    - Gemellamorbillorum
    - Leptotrichiabuccalis
    - Porphyromonasgingivalis
Are these just benign, ordinary mouth bugs? Absolutely not. Four can affect your heart, three can affect your nerves, two can affect your kidneys, two can affect your brain, and one can infect your sinus cavities… so they are anything BUT friendly! (If you want see just how unfriendly they can be, I invite you to investigate the footnotes.)

Approximately 400 percent more bacteria were found in the blood surrounding the root canal tooth than were found in the tooth itself, suggesting the tooth is the incubatorand the periodontal ligament is the food supply. The bone surrounding root-canaled teeth was found even HIGHER in bacterial count… not surprising, since bone is virtual buffet of bacterial nutrients.

Since when is leaving a dead body part IN your body a good idea?

There is no other medical procedure that involves allowing a dead body part to remain in your body. When your appendix dies, it’s removed. If you get frostbite or gangrene on a finger or toe, it is amputated. If a baby dies in utero, the body typically initiates a miscarriage.

Your immune system doesn’t care for dead substances, and just the presence of dead tissue can cause your system to launch an attack, which is another reason to avoid root canals — they leave behind a dead tooth.

Infection, plus the autoimmune rejection reaction, causes more bacteria to collect around the dead tissue. In the case of a root canal, bacteria are given the opportunity to flush into your blood stream every time you bite down.

Why dentists cling to the belief root canals are safe

The ADA rejects Dr. Price’s evidence, claiming root canals are safe, yet they offer no published data or actual research to substantiate their claim. American Heart Association recommends a dose of antibiotics before many routine dental procedures to prevent infective endocarditis (IE) if you have certain heart conditions that predispose you to this type of infection.

So, on the one hand, the ADA acknowledges oral bacteria can make their way from your mouth to your heart and cause a life-threatening infection.

But at the same time, the industry vehemently denies any possibility that these same bacteria—toxic strains KNOWN to be pathogenic to humans — can hide out in your dead root-canaled tooth to be released into your blood stream every time you chew, where they can damage your health in a multitude of ways.

Is this really that large of a leap? Could there be another reason so many dentists, as well as the ADA and the AAE, refuse to admit root canals are dangerous? Well, yes, as a matter of fact, there is. Root canals are the most profitable procedure in dentistry.

What you need to know to AVOID a root canal

I strongly recommend never getting a root canal. Risking your health to preserve a tooth simply doesn’t make sense. Unfortunately, there are many people who’ve already have one. If you have, you should seriously consider having the tooth removed, even if it looks and feels fine.

Remember, as soon as your immune system is compromised, your risk of of developing a serious medical problem increases — and assaults on your immune system are far too frequent in today’s world.

If you have a tooth removed, there are a few options available to you.

    1) Partial denture: This is a removable denture, often just called a “partial.” It’s the simplest and least expensive option.
    2) Bridge: This is a more permanent fixture resembling a real tooth but is a bit more involved and expensive to build.
    3) Implant: This is a permanent artificial tooth, typically titanium, implanted in your gums and jaw. There are some problems with these due to reactions to the metals used. Zirconium is a newer implant material that shows promise for fewer complications.

But just pulling the tooth and inserting some sort of artificial replacement isn’t enough.

Dentists are taught to remove the tooth but leave your periodontal ligament. But as you now know, this ligament can serve as a breeding ground for deadly bacteria. Most experts who’ve studied this recommend removing the ligament, along with one millimeter of the bony socket, in order to drastically reduce your risk of developing an infection from the bacterially infected tissues left behind.

I strongly recommend consulting a biological dentist because they are uniquely trained to do these extractions properly and safely, as well as being adept at removing mercury fillings, if necessary. Their approach to dental care is far more holistic and considers the impact on your entire body — not JUST your mouth.

If you need to find a biological dentist in your area, I recommend visiting toxicteeth.org, a resource sponsored by Consumers for Dental Choice. This organization, championed by Charlie Brown, is a highly reputable organization that has fought to protect and educate consumers so that they can make better-informed decisions about their dental care. The organization also heads up the Campaign for Mercury-Free Dentistry.

Sounds bad. But I think that 97% of the people I know over 60 have had root canals. So i don't know what I am being told here.

Just so. On the other hand, I do believe that root canals are not healthy. After a dentist killed one of my teeth, I had it pulled instead.

    WARNING: Carrots Can Kill You

    · Every carrot you eat brings you nearer to death.

    · Nearly all sick people have eaten carrots. Obviously, the effects are cumulative.

    · An estimated 99.9% of all people who die from cancer and heart disease have eaten carrots.

    · 99.9% of people involved in car accidents ate carrots within 60 days of their accidents.

    · 93.1% of juvenile delinquents come from homes where carrots are served regularly.

    · Carrot eaters born between 1900 & 1920 have been noted to have wrinkled skin, brittle bones and failing eyesight.

    · And lastly, among the people born in 1839 who later dined on carrots, there has been a 100% mortality!
not saying that there is not some thing with the root canal and illness, but the line is much like the "Carrots Can Kill You"

THe root canal I got ruined my health, I'm looking for someone to remove it, so the article's weblink to biological dentists is timely. Dentist's offices are hopping, and they love doing root canals, BIG money. Think of all the people you know who've got sick, or got cancer or whatever, what are the chances they've had a root canal? Dr. Jerry Tennant (co-inventor of Lasix eye surgery) said when people come to see him for medical treatment, he first asks them if they have a root canal, if they do he tells them to have it removed then come back. He said 90% of the people who get their root canals removed no longer need a doctor, their ailments go away.

I've read Meinig and Prices' books, excellent reading. Thanks for posting this!

This is so ridiculous. How many children have terminal cancer?? How many young adults with no such dental procedure?

Think what you want, but my regular dentist doesn't do root canals, and about 10 years ago, I had a bad tooth. He asked if I wanted to go to this root canal specialist or pull the tooth. Not knowing anything, I said I'll go to the specialist. Well, within 6 months that tooth became horribly infected. I went back to my regular dentist and had him extract it. Oh yeah, the root canal was like a grand. Phooey.

Nah, the answer is apparently have the extraction and get the snap implant with a crown....THAT will only cost just shy of $3K.....2700 if they aren't doing something special (like TWO GRAFTS FROM CADAVER BONE TO SET THE IMPLANT in cases like mine).....Which MIGHT include the crown required.

And the alleged stats in the OP are seriously pushing epidemiological statistical obfuscation to make some point.

I find more evidence so Im sticking with the article
Cancer begins with immune system failure

I had a right side root canal and one year later i was in surgery for right side breast cancer

Is it wise to leave a dead thing inside a healthy human body ? Apparently not

Asking all other cancer victims on this forum if you also had root canals

Mercury Fillings, Root Canals, Cavitations – What You Need to Know

November 3, 2014 by Michael Edwards
Last updated on: December 19, 2015

Is your mouth making you sick?

You can tell a lot about a person’s health by the condition of their mouth. It’s almost impossible to have a sick body and a healthy mouth or to have a healthy body and a sick mouth. You can, however, have a sick mouth and not know it. Your mercury filling can be leeching mercury particles or mercury vapor that is poisoning your tissues. Your root canal or your jawbone can be oozing potent toxins, even though you feel no pain.
    Brian’s Amalgam (mercury) Fillings

Brian was an honor student at age fourteen. Within a month after his trip to the dentist, his world changed. Suddenly he experienced ongoing fatigue and a “brain fog” so severe he could not concentrate for more than ten minutes at a time. Honors classes became a thing of the past, while Brian, who had always been a happy well-adjusted teen, grappled with suicidal thoughts.

Ten years later Brian was searching the web for a means to treat his persistent body acne when one site said the treatment probably wouldn’t work unless mercury fillings were removed first. After a little research, Brian realized his fatigue, lack of attention, fogginess, and the metallic taste in his mouth all coincided with the dental visit when he acquired ten amalgam (mercury) fillings in his teeth. Just the removal of the first three amalgams resulted in a dramatic increase in mental clarity.
    Melanie’s Root Canal

Melanie was a young mother of two children and a housewife when she became ill. First her ear began popping every time she swallowed and she could feel the pressure of fluid in her ear. Soon it was hard to swallow. Gynecological problems were followed by systemic symptoms of overwhelming pain and fatigue. Eventually, Melanie, sick as she was, was forced to go get a job in order to pay her medical bills. She was miserable and in constant pain until the day she had her dead tooth pulled. Before any of her symptoms began, Melanie had an infected tooth and a subsequent root canal. Although she experienced no pain at the site, the tooth was the root of her health problems. She felt better the first day that tooth was pulled, and all of her symptoms disappeared with a few months.
    Nicole’s Cavitations

Soon after having her wisdom teeth removed, Nicole experienced extreme chronic pain on her left side, overwhelming fatigue, hair loss, “severe brain fog” and an increase in allergies and chemical sensitivities. She regained some of her health through an organic diet (alleviation of the chronic pain and brain fog) before finding information about cavitations—infections in the crater and bone left behind after an extraction. Now that her infections are being treated, her other symptoms are disappearing as well; her hair is growing back and she has fewer allergies and chemical sensitivities.
Mercury, root canals, and extractions can be the root of many illnesses

Few people are aware that auto-immune disease, chronic illnesses, and acute illnesses may be related to mercury poisoning from dental fillings or unresolved infection involving a root canal or extraction. In our society, conventional medicine and conventional dentistry both separate the mouth from the rest of the body, not realizing the synergistic relationship between each tooth and vital organs or the mouth’s ability to create systemic illness.

A tooth is arguably an organ in itself, and many holistic dentists view it as one. Each tooth is also connected to other organs, tissues, glands etc. through the meridians of the body. Disease with a dead tooth (root canal) or bone and tissue disease due to extractions (cavitations) not only leech toxins into the body, causing a challenge for the immune system, there is also a deleterious effect on organs and tissues of the corresponding meridian. This meridian connection goes both ways. “…my studies kept bringing me back to the role of dental procedures and dental diseases in general health conditions and to how oral disease is often a sign of systemic illness,” writes Dr. Alison Adams, a former dentist who became a naturopath. Systemic illness is also often a sign of undiagnosed oral disease.
    Mercury fillings–amalgam

Mercury fillings slowly leech mercury and mercury vapor, causing a multitude of problems in the body including disruption of the nervous system, the immune system, the circulatory system, and the reproductive system. Mercury can damage the brain, heart, kidneys, and lungs—virtually every organ and every system in the body.

Mercury binds selenium, keeping it from fighting cancer cells. Nearly every process in the body relies on sulphur—hormones, enzymes, nerve tissue, and red blood cells, but mercury binds to sulfur, inactivating it.

Mercury binding to proteins may affect the immune system’s ability to recognize cancerous cells and normal cells, resulting in cancerous cells growing while the immune system attacks normal, healthy tissues resulting in auto-immune disease. It decreases liver detoxification and breaks DNA.

Mercury is found in the center of tumors. It plays a major role in reproductive and endocrine cancers. It also collects in the mouth and jaw with heavy collections of mercury in cavitations.

Mercury creates an anaerobic environment, one in which Candida flourishes. When mercury fillings are removed and a mercury detox is completed, Candidiasis significantly improves or resolves.

Dr. Adams states, “There are many thousands of documented cases where removal of amalgam fillings when combined with mercury detoxification and nutritional support has cured or significantly improved serious health problems including cancers such as multiple myeloma and leukemia.”

Mercury fillings can be removed and replaced, though it is imperative to your health that you choose a properly trained dentist to perform the removal, one who will make every effort to minimize your mercury exposure throughout the process. Look for biological dentists (those who practice holistic care).

In the meantime, it is important to continue a diet and supplement regime to aid your body is releasing the mercury already in your system as well as the mercury your fillings continue to release into your body with each day.

It is best to get your amalgam fillings properly removed as soon as possible. Do not ignore your need to keep flushing mercury from your body before and after the procedure.
    Root canals

After a root canal is performed, the tooth is dead. The remaining tissue and structure now provides a ripe environment for infection. Tooth material (dentine) is not solid. It is rife with tubules—incredibly small canals or tunnels. If you were to stretch out the tubules in each tooth, tubules from incisors would reach 3 miles, while tubules from molars would reach 9 miles.

Once the pulp is removed from the tooth, there is no longer a blood or oxygen supply. The bacteria that remain can mutate to an anaerobic form and multiply until there are millions living within the tubules of the dead tooth. From there, they secrete potent toxins.

Holistic practitioners are finding these dead teeth are often a source of disease for the body—everything from unexplained symptoms to cancer. For example, Dr. Garcia tells of a woman who consulted several doctors for a mysterious swelling in one leg. Within one day after Dr. Garcia removed the woman’s tooth (an old root canal), the swelling was gone. When Dr. Thomas Rau, a Swiss physician who specializes in breast cancer, learned of the possible link between root canals and cancer, he investigated his last 150 patients and found that 97% of them did have one or more root canals—and they were on the same meridian side of the body as the cancer!

A dead tooth may spew toxins into the body with no detectable symptoms—no pain, no swelling of the gums—nothing to alert you that it is wrecking havoc upon your immune system and causing chronic and acute medical conditions that you are attempting to cure.

Speak with your holistic dentist about extracting and replacing cadaverous teeth and how to proceed with ongoing dental care. In the meantime, you must eat a diet that aids you in detoxing, while building the immune system.
    Cavitations

Cavitations are infection of the bone after tooth extraction. It is believed that most of these infections are caused by two things: leaving the tendon that was attached to the tooth and not excavating the site of infection. Another cause may be the use of drugs during the procedure that cut off the blood flow to the site.

The best practice is to clean out the site, remove any dead tissue, bone, and the tendon, then allow the blood to clot. This blood clot forms the site for new cells to grow, to actually fill in the missing bone and build new healthy tissue. A dry socket or a closed site over active infection does not allow this healing process to occur.

When cavitations occur, they are often asymptomatic. Although the bone is being eaten by nasty anaerobic bacteria, there may be no pain. The bacteria, however, is exuding powerful toxins that may be causing damage to your immune system or the toxins may be the underlying cause of your chronic health condition(s).
    Living with Toxic Teeth

Whether you are dealing with mercury, root canals, or cavitations, your immune system is under attack. Toxins or heavy metals are bombarding it, so you must give your immune system all of the nutritional support possible, while doing your best not to add to its burden.

Ideally, one would get their teeth fixed. Obviously there are many reasons why this isn’t always possible because of finances and many other reasons. If you are getting you teeth fixed, do lots of research and make sure your dentist is competent and knowledgeable of the health implications. If you need to wait, or for what ever reason, you’re stuck with a toxic mouth, there are steps you can take to dramatically reduce the dire effects of these common dentistry procedures.

To give your immune system support, eat a wide variety of nutrient dense foods. To avoid adding to your immune system’s burden, make sure those foods are organic. This is not the time for your immune system to have the additional burden of pesticides and herbicides or artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, MSG, GMOs or trans fats.

Your diet should consist of 80% fresh, raw, organic vegetables and fruits (more vegetables than fruits), and the remaining 20% should be whole foods as well. Refined sugars should be eliminated.

Many fruits and vegetables, especially when they’re eaten raw, chelate heavy metals and remove other toxins from the body. Both raw garlic and cilantro are well known for their powerful chelating properties. Try Shillington’s Total Tonic Recipe (or buy it here) to help restore health, balance PH, strengthen the immune system, and help pull heavy metals from the body:

    1 Handful of Garlic Cloves
    1 Handful of chopped Onions
    1 Handful of chopped Ginger
    1 Handful of chopped Horseradish
1/2 handful of chopped Habanero Peppers

Throw in a blender and cover with an inch or two of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar.

All ingredients should be ORGANIC, but don’t let that stop you from making this great formula. You can use the mash right away or wait two weeks and tincture.

We also recommend HM Chelate –from Pure Encapsulations (it doesn’t pull out important minerals like many other chelation supplements do). The combination, with a healthy diet, will work remarkably well to pull out heavy metals and other toxins. Be sure to drink lots of water as well. Better yet, check out this cranberry stevia lemonade recipe.

When dealing with mercury fillings, cavitations, and root canals, repairing (if necessary) and boosting the immune system is of paramount importance. Garlic should be your new best friend. Always keep the gut as healthy and balanced as possible. The idea is to make your blood uninhabitable to harmful pathogens (and Shillington’s Blood Detox can help with that, too). The human body can handle a heavy toxic burden when the diet is right and the body is getting lots of nutrition. Combine that with immune boosting, anti-pathogen herbs and supplements and some people find themselves healthier than the average person without those dental toxins in their mouths.

Take care of your teeth and gums as best you can. See Heal Cavities, Gum Disease, Naturally. Here’s a recipe from that article that everyone with any teeth or gum issues should have. Below that, we also have Shillington’s Blood Detox recipe. This is a very powerful tincture (and it comes as a tea, too); it’s life changing; it’s the most powerful tincture I know of for overall better health.
Doc Shillington’s Tooth and Gum Formula Recipe (click here to purchase):

    (Use organic ingredients whenever possible).

    10 oz Echinacea Tincture
1/4 cup of Tea Tree Oil
    4 oz. Bayberry Tincture
2 oz. Oak Gall (or 3X Oak Bark) Tincture
    2 TBS. Cayenne Tincture
2 1/2 Dropperfuls of Peppermint Oil
2 1/2 Dropperfuls of Clove Oil

A dropperful is considered to be about 1/2 way up the dropper from a two ounce bottle.
    Doc Shillington’s Blood Detox Recipe:
Blood Detox Tincture (click here to purchase):

(Mix the following by volume, and make a standard tincture using 100 proof vodka as your menstrum)

2 – parts Red Clover Blossoms
    2 – parts Chaparral
    1 – part Lobelia
    1 – part Cayenne
1 – part freshly chopped Garlic Bulb
    1 – part Burdock Seed & Root
    1 – part Poke Root
1 – part Yellow Dock Root
    1 – part Goldenseal Root
1 – part Oregon Grape Root
1 – part Blood Root Sap
    1 – part European Mistletoe
    1 – part Periwinkle Flowers

Blood Detox Tea (click here to purchase):

Use the exact same herbs as above in exactly the same proportions and make as a decoction only. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes, then drink.

Take chlorella, spirulina, and lots of vitamin C, from a trustworthy whole food source, and eat tons of salad with a wide variety of produce. I wonder about stats from other countries where people do not have so many root canals. IMHO the % in this article is a bit overblown, what is the % of general population with root canals?

I hate root canals and have a few of them. At least I can chew...

No one gets out of here alive. Or rather, we leave the dead husk, root canals or no, and continue on our journey without the horrid thing.

    Dental Care

Dental-care is very important in the Dr. Clark protocol.
Your dental clean-up is connected to your health success. This is because teeth are connected through meridians to our main organs. This means that the health of your main organs can influence your teeth, the same way the health of your teeth can influence your organs.

On the internet you can find various organ-teeth connections. This one below has been taken from the book "The Tooth Truth" from D.D.S Frank J. Jerome.

    TOOTH - ORGAN CONNECTION:
Wisdom teeth: HEART, lower back, small intestine, energy
Molars (upper): BREAST on same side, sinus, stomach
    Molars (lower):

    LARGE INTESTINES, neck, lungs
Bicuspids (upper): BREASTS, large intestine, lungs, neck
    Biscupids (lower): BREASTS, stomach, esophagus
    Cuspids (all): EYES, gallbladder, liver
Front teeth (all): KIDNEYS on down, lower bowel, sinuses, adrenal glands

MERCURY FILLINGS (excerpts taken from the book "The Tooth Truth")

In 1845 the dentists of the American Society of Dental Surgeons said "… the use of all amalgams (mercury filling materials) is malpractice".

Amalgams are metal alloys. Dr. Clark found up to 20 different metals in one amalgam. The mercury in the amalgam does not bind to other metals, therefore is free-mercury and can vaporize, leaving the filling and entering the body, through the lungs and into the blood, from here to the heart throughout the body and into the cells.

MERCURY IS ONE OF THE MOST TOXIC OF ALL METALS, POISONING EVERY CELL IT ENTERS, PARTICULARLY THE NERVE CELLS AND INTO THE BRAIN.

Mercury has a long list of side-effects which you can learn more.

But besides this, it is noteworthy that any mercury filling material left after a tooth is filled is considered toxic waste and must be disposed of according to guidelines established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the paradox is that putting mercury filling material into a landfill is against the law, but to carry it in our mouths for 20 and more years, this was not against the law!

Dr. Hulda Clark mentions that tooth fillings, if imperfectly applied, create a crevice between tooth and filling that is suitable for anaerobes to live in. Anaerobes are bacterium or organisms that do not require free oxygen in order to live. Dead teeth also invite Clostridium. Usually it is hidden from view under a cap, crown, root canal or simply under a filling. Usually many species of Clostridium grow together. They are usually all present when there are large plastic fillings, and when crowns, root canals, or dead teeth are present.

If our teeth become colonized with Clostridium, they become a source of distribution to the colon. Once the teeth and colon have been colonized with Clostridium, they cannot be easily eradicated.

Clostridium is an internal source ofisopropyl alcohol. It is also associated with OPT, HCG and DNA. Clostridium must be avoided in order to avoid cancer.

You can brush your teeth with 1 drop oregano oil once a day in order to remove it in the in the dental area and10 drops in an empty capsule, 3 times a day will eliminate it in the intestinal tract, but this is onlya temporary solution. Dental work must be done in order to remove its source. Take note that oregano oil is a very powerful essential oil.. Consult with your physician if you think this is too strong for you to take it internally.

Dr. Jerome Frank in his book "The Tooth Truth" reports that no root-canal patient is ever free of the toxin-producing, anaerobicbacteria. Small pockets of infection always remain and can become a threat again when the immune system becomes weak. These chronic infections can cause the immune system to become weak.

Remember as Dr. Jerome points out an abscessed tooth is a dead organ, whether it has had root-canal therapy or not. If dead organs need to be removed from the body in order not to cause toxic shock, why do they leave dead teeth in our body?

Dr. Price Weston, a dental researcher, made practical studies on root canals. He would implant a root filled tooth from a patient under the skin of a lab animal, and discoverthat in almost every case the animal would develop the same disease as the patient, would lose weight and often die. His research went further by culturing the bacteria found in a root canal and injecting only this into the lab animal. From only injecting the toxins, the disease would reproduce itself anyways.

Today dentists confirm that tooth infections contain primary bacteria found by Dr. Clark and Dr. Price such as streptococcus and staphylococcus and spirochetes.

Also cavitations (NICO – Neural Inducing Cavitational Osteopatosis) need to be cleaned out as these are sources of bacteria and infection. After an extraction if tissue is left in the socket, the bone will tend to heal over the top, leaving a hole in the bone and which is called a cavitation.

Sometimes the tooth zappicator might be sufficient to remove bacteria from the cavitation. The tooth zappicator also removes traces of metals and solvents and hardens plastic teeth so that they do not seep metals, dyes and other.

Which dental materials should one use? A 100% pure dental material does not exist.

Dr. Clark tested dental materials for the presence of heavy metals, dyes, radioactivity (see the advanced section), malonic acid , laundry bleach and other toxins related her cancer research.

You can find a list of acceptable dental materials according to Dr. Clark in her book:
"The Cure and Prevention of all Cancers" under Sources, or you can senda sample of a dental material to be tested by the syncrometer for the presence of above-mentioned toxins. Contact Heike Beckers for this.

However the biggest new challenge for dentists is to remove the polonium and uranium from the patients’ mouth as this is directly connected to cancer. This topic is discussed in full under the Advanced Dental care section.

Well, I'm probably going to die soon - close to a third of my teeth have had root canals / crowns / metal fillings. I could never afford to remove them all, then get implants or dentures.

I think my oldest root canal is close to 40 years old.

I have no doubt that some people have found links between illness and root canals, but if the percentage was that high, my excellent dentists would know about them. And I have asked. They all say it's much better to keep the natural ("dead") tooth as it helps prevent bone loss and other problems.

What percentage of the European population died following exposure to the Black Death in the 1300s? One-hundred percent. Which just goes to show you that shocking statements don't necessarily mean squat.

Could it be true, I don't find it hard to believe..... I would wage that all people over 21 years old have 100% chance of having at least 1 root canal, if not more in their mouth. All the none nutritious, mushy, chemical/steriod/antibiotic/food coloring filled food we eat is so good for our body...it all causes health problems.

Truth is all root canals have inflammation, all root canals have heavy metals in them. Now that is the real news. All illness is caused by inflammation.

    Hmmm.

I really doubt a dentist could do a decent job with a root canal in 1920, so I question Dr. Price's conclusions with his 'study' then and some of his following 'research'. Dentistry isn't what it was. We have antibiotics now, endodontists, advanced microbiological techniques.

Is there really a link between cancer and root canals? I don't believe there is any scientific evidence or stats that links these two things.

If root canals were a cause of cancer, one would expect to see an increase in jaw cancer or mouth cancer just because of the proximity to the 'dead' tooth.

    Just my thoughts on this.

    Found this at Snopes:

I read an article: Shocking connection: 97% of all terminal cancer patients previously had this dental procedure done. Root canal. I have had 4 root canals and am concerned about the validity of the information in this article.
    Is this true?

ORIGINS: Fear of root canals (extending past the discomfort of the procedure itself to long-term health effects) is far older than the Internet.

But the belief that root canals cause cancer circulates periodically online, and in October 2014 the rumor that 97 percent of “terminal cancer patients” had previously undergone root canal procedures (suggesting a link between the dental procedure and the development of terminal cancer) spiked in popularity.

In recent years, the claim about root canals and cancer risk has gained traction due to a 2012 article published to the website of Dr. Joseph Mercola, a vocal supporter of a number of discredited or dubious medical beliefs who has decried artificial sweeteners, microwaves, and sunscreen as major lurking dangers in everyday life.

In the Mercola root canal article, the century-old work of Dr. Weston Price was referenced as proof positive that endodontics and cancer death go hand in hand, positing that Dr. Price’s discoveries have since been “discounted and suppressed by medical and dental professionals” wishing to bury the truth:

He then went on to show that many chronic degenerative diseases originate from root-filled teeth — the most frequent being heart and circulatory diseases.

By the time Price died in 1948, the “focal infection theory” he had researched decades earlier had already begun to fall out of favor among medical professionals. By the 1950s it was considered to be an outdated fringe belief; and endodontic research in the half century since then has turned up no evidence to support a causal link between root canals and cancer.

However, the myth of cancer-causing endodontics persists. On a page addressing root canal myths, the American Association of Endodontists explains:

The truth: There is no valid, scientific evidence linking root canal-treated teeth and disease elsewhere in the body. A root canal is a safe and effective procedure. When a severe infection in a tooth requires endodontic treatment, that treatment is designed to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal, prevent reinfection of the tooth and save the natural tooth.

While the circulating claims suggest modern endodontics practitioners “buried” Price’s research, in actuality the AAE addressed his findings directly and detailed why they did not stand up to basic modern standards in research:

But what about Dr. Price? This is a good example of how the Internet can give new life to long-dispelled theories. Believe it or not, the misinformation about roots canals that is found on the Internet is still based on Dr. Price’s century-old, discredited research. Dr. Price’s research techniques were criticized at the time they were published, and by the early 1930s, a number of well-designed studies using more modern research techniques discredited his findings. In 1951, the Journal of the American Dental Association took the extraordinary step of publishing a special edition reviewing the scientific literature and shifted the standard of practice back to endodontic treatment for teeth with non-vital pulp in instances where the tooth could be saved. The JADA reviewed Dr. Price’s research techniques from the 1920s and noted that they lacked many aspects of modern scientific research, including absence of proper control groups and induction of excessive doses of bacteria.

Ultimately, it’s not clear from where the “97 percent” figure commonly cited in the root canal cancer link claim originates. No study exists to articulate such a specific number, nor is there any anecdotal evidence. The AAE noted research published in 2013 concluded that individuals who underwent multiple endodontic treatments actually experienced a 45 percent reduced risk of cancer.

I have heard before that health of the teeth greatly affects health of the body.

Fwiw my dad died of lung cancer. He had root canals. He smoked and quit 13 years before he was diagnosed with cancer. He had all his teeth pulled 8-10 years before he was diagnosed with cancer so i dont know if that would have negated the effects of the root canals or what.

Not surprising. Every veterinarian will tell you that good tooth care and oral hygiene is what is needed for older dogs as diseased teeth/gums provide a direct pathway into the bloodstream for all kinds of bacteria. My BIL is a vet and I know that is one of the first things he looks at in evaluating the health of an older animal.

Cancer is an illness where the body has no proper defense system to react to bad bacteria or an ability to stop malformed cells from forming. Genetics is one component of cancer, environmental exposure yet another, and diet another. In some children the immune system is suppressed either due to vaccinations or just developmental issues creating an open pathway for cancer to take root.

This article exclusively focuses on dental practices that contribute to chronic health problems months or years later.

I am a nurse, cardiac trained for about 20 years. And it has been well known that dental disease and heart disease go hand in hand. The mouth bacteria especially love to attack the heart valves.

That does not mean it causes all heart disease. But a big majority of heart transplant pts have had dental issues.

Also if you have had any kind of joint replacement and have to go to the dentist. Your Ortho MD should be making it clear that you need a round of antibiotics before/ during having your dental work done. If you don't it greatly increases your chance of having bacteria attach to the implant in your joint. Also know as vegetation. Same thing for heart valve recipients.

So I would say there is probably some validity to the OP post. But to say it causes 97% is a misleading headline. Still nothing to ignore.

I have avoided two root canals. Dentists freak out now when you tell them "just pull it" they hate hearing that lol. At my age I doubt a few missing teeth is going to hurt anything

Dr Price's theory about root canals is a hundred years old, and periodically raises it's head in pseudoscience publications.
The research happened at the very beginning of the 1900s. He actually recommended people have their teeth extracted rather than have dental procedures such as fillings and root canals, and many paniced people with no dental problems actually had all their teeth extracted. Extraction actually results in many times the number of bacteria entering the bloodstream than happens with root canals. The fact is there are NO sterile areas inside the human body. Bacteria exist everywhere.
Studies conducted in 2013 have actually shown a 45% cancer rate reduction in people who have had multiple endodontic treatment.

The human body contains about 100 trillion cells, but only maybe one in 10 of those cells is actually — human. The rest are from bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms. You are actually more bacteria/virus than human

    Root canal treatment causes illness.

Myth #2—Root canal treatment causes illness.
The myth: Patients searching the Internet for information on root canals may find sites claiming that teeth receiving root canal (endodontic) treatment contribute to the occurrence of illness and disease in the body. This false claim is based on long-debunked and poorly designed research performed nearly a century ago by Dr. Weston A. Price, at a time before medicine understood the causes of many diseases.
In the 1920s, Dr. Price advocated tooth extraction—the most traumatic dental procedure—over endodontic treatment. This resulted in a frightening era of tooth extraction both for treatment of systemic disease and as a prophylactic measure against future illness.
    • The presence of bacteria in teeth and the mouth has been an accepted fact for many years. But the presence of bacteria does not constitute "infection" and is not necessarily a threat to a person's health. Bacteria are present in the mouth and teeth at all times, even in teeth that have never had a cavity or other trauma. Research shows that the healthy immune system takes care of bacteria in a matter of minutes.
    • Tooth extraction is a traumatic procedure and is known to cause a significantly higher incidence of bacteria entering the bloodstream; endodontic treatment confined to the root canal system produces much less trauma and a much lower incidence and magnitude of bacteria entering the blood stream.
    • There is no adequate replacement for the natural tooth - it should be saved whenever possible. Root canal treatment, along with appropriate restoration, is a cost effective way to treat infected teeth because it is usually less expensive than extraction and placement of an implant. In most cases, endodontic treatment allows patients to keep their natural teeth for a lifetime.
As recently as 2013, research published in JAMA Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery, found that patients with multiple endodontic treatments had a 45 percent reduced risk of cancer.

Hmmmm...99.9999% of people who die of terminal cancer have ears. Therefore, having ears causes terminal cancer.

Again, wishing I had that swampland in Florida.

I'm curious to know who that .0001% person is who got cancer who didn't have ears...?

I agree, so many other variables to consider.

10 years ago my 24 year old niece had a very aggressive form of breast cancer. She found out at the wake of her 24 year old friend that died from it. Anyway, her cancer was linked to the birth control pills she was on. Her oncologist told her to immediately cease taking them. The WHO has labeled estrogen-progestogen oral contraceptives as a class 1 carcinogen. I would imagine there's a litany of variables combined together, that could be a "witches brew" in many women's bodies. Ironically, a girl my niece just began working with at that time, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time. That three young women suffered from the disease, and one losing her life, was shocking to us all.

The ones who lost them from going through the windshield of their car from not wearing a seat belt and having a head on crash.

I dont know about cancer and teeth, but I have personally worked deaths that where from heart attacks from infected teeth that did not have root canals done, yet. I also have a good friend who almost died from an infection originating from under a cap on a tooth that took them 3 years to figure out what it was.

Tooth infections within or outside of a root canal cal kill you. I have seen it first hand.

This article has been circulating for years. Weston Price did his work in the early 20th century. If his experiments are valid, they should be repeated.

Yes, most of us have root canals. This wasn't the case when the doctors were warning about the problem. Half of us will get cancer, too. Both root canals and cancer were rare when this research started and the warnings went out.

Many of my teeth had silver fillings now replaced with crowns. There are two remaining teeth with large silver fillings, one with a little chip in it. And one tooth with a root canal. The root canal tooth was probably done in the late 80's, had a large filling that fractured. It seemed like every time I went to a new dentist they had to replace all of my fillings with new fillings, at least 3 times in my life.

My immune system is good and I have no chronic diseases, except some arthritis, which I would attribute to my age of 70. I take better care of my health than most people that I know, including my DH, he's clueless. His wife of almost 49 years died from cancer, which started in her colon 30 years before she died. She had a mouth full of root canals and was also clueless about eating a healthy diet. They knew that sugar feeds cancer cells, but her doctor kept telling her to eat high calorie sugar filled foods because she was losing weight.

I had a bunch of root canals, but the good(?) news is that they all fell out 20 years ago when I hit menopause. No cancer so far and if I do get cancer, it'll more likely be because I've smoked for 53 years.
