Girl, 12, screamed 'Daddy don't' as she was stabbed to death

    CHICAGO (WLS) --
Prosecutors revealed disturbing new details in the murder of 12-year-old Alexis Stubbs on Chicago's North Side.

The man she considered her stepfather was in court Tuesday, accused of killing the young girl inside her apartment in the Sheridan Park neighborhood. The 12-year-old girl's last pleas were heard on voicemail.

"The victim was screaming and begging for her life, saying 'Please daddy, don't,'" Assistant State's Attorney Guy Lisuzzo said.

Reading the proffer after bond court, the assistant district attorney said 31-year-old John Singleton called Alexis Stubbs' mother multiple times in the minutes before stabbing and beating the girl to death inside her apartment Sunday night.

John Singleton, 31 (left) and Alexis Stubbs, 12 (right).

A man has been charged in connection with the beating and stabbing death of a 12-year-old girl.

Alexis' mother and the accused killer, 31-year-old convicted felon John Singleton, had been arguing over the phone when the girl's cries were captured, Assistant State's Attorney Guy Lisuzzo said.

"It's just tearing her apart. She's been looking forward to graduation in the years to come and things they wanted to do. They had a bond and that bond has been broken," crisis responder Andrew Holmes said.

Prosecutors said Singleton killed Stubbs in a rage after her mother told him he had to vacate her North Side apartment. He'd been staying there since being released from a halfway house a few days earlier on parole after spending three years in custody for attempting to strangle her back in 2014. Singleton had moved back in but the woman didn't want him there because her lease prohibited felons, prosecutors said.

Initially escaping police following the murder, prosecutors say he sent Stubbs' mother a series of taunting text messages.

"The defendant stated among other things, 'See what you made me do for not appreciate me like you should have done in the first place,'" Lisuzzo said.

Singleton was found by police hiding inside a portable toilet. Following his arrest, Singleton attacked one of the detectives who had been questioning him and is now charged with aggravated battery of a police officer in addition to kidnapping and murder.

The judge ordered Singleton be held without bond and remanded him to Cermak Hospital for evaluation. The public defender saying in court he has a history of mental illness and suicidal thoughts.

Minutes after the girl's death over the weekend, maintenance man Reggie Taylor dropped a painter's tarp over the crimson stains blotting the hallway carpet. He didn't want the other children in the building to see their friend's blood.

Taylor said the girl lived there with her mother, who was outside in front of the complex at the time of the attack.

Many of the children who lived in the building were close to Alexis, Taylor added.

"She looked like a little Shirley Temple. Little curls. . . . Very happy all the time," said Taylor.

"She was a sweet little kid. Sweet girl, sweet girl," Taylor said.

The blood splatter from the attack, Taylor said, continued 10 feet down the hall and into their apartment.

After Taylor put down the tarp over the bloody carpet, he even added other painting materials to make the diversion appear more realistic. "We've got a professional carpet cleaner coming today," he said.

"We lost another baby," said Holmes. "Another life was cut short today."

Taylor said Alexis had an "awesome" mother.

"She loved her child," he said. "They was like Siamese twins, you know, you didn't see them apart. She really took care of her baby."

Taylor said the building was a family-oriented place that had never experienced violence like this before.

The complex is on a well-manicured block that's a mix of new and old apartments and older stately homes. It is owned by Chicago House and Social Service agency, which, according to its website, serves individuals and families by offering help with housing, employment, medical care, legal services and other support.

Scott Ammarell, CEO of Chicago House, said Alexis' death has hit other tenants hard.

"It is absolutely devastating for everyone who lives here. We have a very tight-knit group of residents," he said.

Ammarell would not say whether Alexis's death was caught on surveillance cameras.

"I can only confirm that whatever information we have is being provided directly to the police," he said.

'What he did to her is beyond description:' Police detail discovery of young Butler mother's body

    BUTLER, Pa. —

A third person was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with the death of a young Butler woman who was reported missing when she failed to show up for her child's kindergarten graduation.

The third suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Joshua Bowser. He's accused of tampering with a corpse and obstructing the investigation into the death of Melissa Barto, 26.

Police said Barto's body was found in Lawrence County late Monday night, and her boyfriend, Ishemer Ramsey, 21, is being charged with homicide.

"The Butler County District Attorney’s office sent representatives over to the scene to check the dynamics, the evidence and just see how horrific it was," Lt. Eric Hermick said.

Police previously said an altercation between Barto and Ramsey led to him shooting her inside of his car.

"By all accounts this victim was a respectable young woman,” Hermick said, “and the guy who killed her is a monster and what he did to her is beyond description."

NO, she sure as hell was NOT an "awesome mother". Dammit, hearing this bullshit just makes me boil!

Man accused in murder, rape of boy, 1, had been charged with attempted murder at 15

A Kingsessing man accused of raping and murdering his girlfriend’s 1-year-old son last week had been charged in 2008 with attempted murder when he was 15 years old, court records show.

Saleem Salaam, 24, of the 1700 block of South Conestoga Street, is charged with murder, aggravated assault, rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and related offenses in the death of the 1-year-old. Police initially identified the child as Salaam’s stepson, but Homicide Capt. James Clark said Salaam was dating the victim’s mother but they were not married.
Saleem Salaam, 24, is charged with murder, rape, and related offenses in the death of his girlfriend’s son last week in Kingsessing.

According to police, officers responded around 5:34 p.m. last Wednesday to Salaam’s residence after another person found the child unresponsive on an upstairs floor. The child was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where doctors noted that he had multiple bruises and injuries indicating sexual assault, police said. He was pronounced dead at 6:08.

Clark said that some of the boy’s injuries appeared recent but that others appeared to have been inflicted before June 7.

“The young man had been tortured, brutally beaten, and sexually assaulted,” Clark said. “Honestly, there’s absolutely, positively no justification or reason [Salaam] could have given for putting his hands on a 1-year-old child.”

Clark said Salaam is a “bad guy” who is “very known” to police.

Court records show that in February 2008, Salaam — who was 15 at the time — was initially charged as an adult with attempted murder, aggravated assault, robbery, and related offenses. The case was transferred to the juvenile division of Family Court in March 2008. Neither the disposition of that case nor the allegations were available in online court records.

Salaam remained in prison without bail Tuesday.

Detroit Police: Teen Fatally Shot Over Air Jordan Shoes

DETROIT (WWJ) – A suspect has been arrested after police say a teenage boy was fatally shot over a pair of Air Jordan sneakers on Detroit’s west side.

Police said it happened shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 15000-block of Pinehurst, near Fenkell just east of Meyers Rd., which is near Loyola High School.

According to investigators, the 17-year-old victim was in the area in his car, attempting to sell a pair of shoes to some unknown suspects, when something went wrong. Shots were fired, the teen was struck and killed, and the shoes were stolen, police said.

A 20-year-old man who was in the car with the teen was also shot, police said. His condition is unknown at this time.

Loyola High School was placed on lockdown as a precaution following the incident. However, police said the teen killed was not a student there and the shooting was not connected to the school.

An investigation is ongoing. A small crowd was gathering late in the afternoon where police had cordoned off the area.

“With the body still on the scene you have now grief-stricken parents and relatives arriving,” WWJ’s Stephanie Davis reported, shortly after 5 p.m.

“How do we change that? Young men are dying everyday from Detroit to Chicago, from Boston to Los Angeles …what’s the answer?” asked a neighborhood resident.

Police said the suspect in custody is a 19-year-old man. No names have been released.

That was my first thought as well, but if you read it closer, it sounds like he may have simply forced her to let him move back in. Although clearly she bears some responsibility for not moving so he couldn't find her again while he was in prison.

(If she was corresponding with him while he was locked up, or otherwise encouraged the relationship in any way, then I retract my statement and completely agree with you)

Not on the day of this story. She was outside, arguing on the telephone with a know violent felon, while her child was inside with him. Really taking care of her "baby". Who would leave their child alone, with a person who had previously tried to kill them? Mother should go to prison for child endangerment.

    Saleem Salaam
Muzzie? Would fit right in with their penchant for baby raping. Another deserving candidate of a .22 to the back of the head.

I'm guessing that nothing "went wrong". It all happened exactly the way the shooter planned. Why buy a pair of shoes when you can kill the seller and just take them?

Sex offender found masturbating in public
Eddie Royce Menefee, 39, was arrested at the 122nd Avenue Transit Station Park and Ride
    June 15, 2017

A convicted sex offender, who has 10 felony convictions on his record, is now accused of masturbating in public.

Eddie Royce Menefee, 39, is being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center on allegations of felony public indecency and failing to register as a sex offender.

Police say on Tuesday, officers assigned to the Transit Division responded to the 122nd Avenue Transit Station Park and Ride on reports of a man lying down on the ground masturbating.

Menefee told police that he had been masturbating for about an hour before they arrived.

Records show that Menefee was convicted in 1994 of sexual abuse. He has several convictions of failing to register as a sex offender.

Menefee is due back in court on June 22.

    Ok... where to start???

If I started earlier in the thread it would take me hours of typing and the conclusion is so simple it does not warrant that amount of time.

Therefore, let's just start with today's posts 6/16/2017... those containing verbiage sufficient about which to comment.

I am at 1/2 cup of coffee... less than 5 hours of sleep so forgive my curt manner of comment

Note that I have placed in bold and enlarged the font on items in each report for which comments are applicable.

The amount of time I expended bolding and changing font sizes in the above posts was hardly warranted and may exceed the time some of these parties remain out of the human population but that is another part of "the problem."

Note in the posts the phrases I have modified to draw attention.

Most have to do with pursuit (by humans) of the legal process (due process) as it is applied (in these cases) to sub humans.

Sub humans is not a popular term for the ears of those with thin skin and soft hearts but it is wholly appropriate here.

All of these individuals had something in common (due to the thread title)...

    they are all negros.

Bro. Nowski used a more appropriate term which comes to mind but in keeping with the sanitized format I will use the term negro.

Had these individuals been Caucasians or other races the conclusion (further down this post) would have been the same. However, they weren't.
SSDD.... it was negros.... over and over and over again negros.

It is obvious to anyone other than a brainwashed idiot that these subhumans are not impacted in any way by the due process methods that are applicable to humans.

Most are repeat offenders... many times over in some cases and... still... these animals remain on the street to prey upon innocent humans where... when they do for the third, fourth or fifth time they are sent through the same damned process which has shown repeatedly to mean nothing to them.

I know a cop personally who arrested the same guy for the same offense three times in two weeks. He said other cops may have arrested him also during that time period but that would be speculation on my part and I don't want to speculate in this post.

Can you blame a cop for getting angered when he repeatedly does his job... pulls these animals off the street... often getting harmed personally in the process... to only see the animal back at it in a few weeks?

Can you blame a cop when he is beaten by one of these animals and he shoots the animal... ending the revolving door BS and solving the problem for society?

    The conclusion is simple.

These are not humans and can not be treated as humans.

History has shown repeatedly that they do not respond to being treated as humans.

These are sub humans and must be treated as such.

In fact, they must be eradicated.

    Summary execution.

    There is no other way.

I realize that is a coarse and brutal comment to make and may hurt a lot of sensitive people who will attempt to show examples of exceptions.

You are wasting your time and the time of all the readers of your descriptions of exceptions.

The numbers (statistics) are against you... heavily against you.

It is my hope that all readers of this thread (not just my posts) but the thread and its continuing examples of the evil deeds of sub humans among us realize that there is evil incarnate roaming the streets and roads and, as pointed out repeatedly by many, is heavily weighted in one race.

Bro. Nowski ... I did my best.

ETA: I placed emphasis on those words and phrases that amplified the point I was trying to make and also emphasize that the bulk of each article consisted of the obligatory BS stories describing how horrific the crime... the feelings of neighbors... hand wringing and such about which readers talk for hours. Such bulk fill ins detract from the actual problem at hand.

Any honest statistical examination of the crime problem in the FUSA would show that only a small percentage of the population is responsible for the vast majority of crimes.

A genuinely intelligent, caring society would permanently eliminate that percentage of the population and fix most of its crime problem.

Man kills kitten at MetroLink after being told he can’t board with animal, police say

A man killed a kitten at a Belleville MetroLink platform Friday after being told he couldn’t board the train with the animal, according to police.

Decalos Edwards Johnson-Foston, 23, had the kitten on his shoulder as he was about to board a train at the Belleville Station MetroLink. When a security officer told him he wouldn’t be allowed to take the cat onto the train, Johnston-Foston threw the kitten on the ground, severely injuring it. He then stomped on its head, killing it, and boarded a bus before anyone had time to react, a police report says.

Johnson-Foston was apprehended on the bus at College Station. Police reported he had also taken money out of someone’s wallet during the bus ride.

Johnson-Foston was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a class 4 felony, and remains at St. Clair County Jail. His bond was set at $75,000.

“Actions like this are so senseless, it is hard to comprehend at times,” Capt. Bruce Fleshren, chief of investigations for sheriff’s department, said. “If you cannot or will not take care of an animal, please take it to the nearest shelter for proper care.”

this kind of (allegedly) human colostomy bag is what we have stopped calling by it's correct descriptor. you will know them by their penchant for killing/maiming other living things, fascination with flammables and matches, an incomprehensible inability to follow the lawful verbal commands of authority figures and masturbation in public. a pox on them

Texas Mom Accused of Stabbing 4-Year-Old Daughter to Death

    19 Jun 2017

HOUSTON, Texas — The Harris County District Attorney’s Office filed capital murder charges against a woman after she allegedly stabbed her own daughter to death. The killing of the four-year-old came after the woman reportedly fought with a yet unnamed boyfriend.

Police officers arrested 34-year-old Laquita Lewis after finding the body of her young daughter, Fredricka Allen, in an apartment complex on the city’s northwest side, the Houston Chronicle reported. Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Thomas Gilliand told reporters deputies made the horrific discovery at the crime scene late Sunday evening.

Lewis went to a local hospital after being involved in a car crash earlier that evening. Gilliand said the mother texted family members saying she might have harmed the child. The family members apparently notified police about the possible crime and deputies responded.

This is not Lewis’ first run-in with Harris County law enforcement. The woman is currently on probation for making death threats against her ex-husband, Donnell Lewis, Jr. Court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed the woman received a deferred adjudication conviction and a sentence of 15 months probation from a Harris County misdemeanor court four months earlier.

She has also filed three paternity suits, all dismissed, against two different men, the Houston newspaper reported.

Gilliand described it as “a horrible situation” in a statement to reporters.

KHOU CBS11 in Houston reported Lewis had been in a fight with her boyfriend earlier in the day. Officials have not yet released the time of death for the young Fredricka Allen.

The local CBS affiliate described the scene as so horrific that chaplains were dispatched to console family members of the little girl and the deputies who responded to the crime scene.

Kansas City man charged in neighbor's killing one day before her 25th birthday
    Posted: Jun 19, 2017 1:06 PM EST

    KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A Kansas City man has been charged with killing his neighbor one day before what would have been her 25th birthday.

Cedric O. Russell, 25, faces first-degree murder, sodomy or attempted sodomy, first-degree burglary, stealing, tampering with motor vehicle and tampering with physical evidence. Prosecutors requested a $500,000 bond.

According to court records, Kansas City police responded to the 10500 block of East 45th Place on a reported ambulance call. They found the victim, Ashley N. Geddes.

Fingerprints identified as Russells by the Kansas City Crime Lab led police to question him, as well as evidence taken from the victim.

Russell told police he was choking the victim during sex and she stopped breathing. He stated he took her car, phone and jewelry, pawning jewelry three days after her death.

Russell had spent years behind bars and just got out months ago.

“I think it's important in a city that's experiencing very high violence rates we do not forget any single victim in any single case,” Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said.

And in this case, that victim is Geddes, who lived in a Kansas City townhome. It was her own mother who found her in her bedroom on June 1 when she hadn't shown up to work or church.

The young singer, songwriter and model had been strangled and savagely attacked. She was her mother's only child.

"She loved life and lived life to the fullest. She did not deserve this,” said Stacy Gicante, the victim's mother.

Prosecutors say Russell, who had served several years for domestic assault and burglary, changed his story about his relationship with Geddes and the last time he had seen. Prosecutors say they also recovered his fingerprints and DNA at the scene.

The first half of 2017 has been a violent one. There are already twice as many homicides so far, this year as there were this time two years ago.

Prosecutors say each one of them is taken just as seriously as this one.

2 charged with burglary, sexual assault in Dothan

    Monday, June 19th 2017

    DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

Two Dothan men are facing charges after police say they broke into homes and sexually assaulted a juvenile victim.

According to Dothan investigators, Quderius Robinson, 22, and Elijha Martin, 24, have each been charged with two counts of Burglary first degree and one count of rape first degree and one count of sodomy first degree.

The charges are related to an investigation that began on Thursday. Investigators say, Robinson and Martin, armed with a handgun, broke into an occupied residence in the 500 block of Fourth Avenue. During the burglary, the resident was assaulted.

Later on while still armed, Martin and Robinson broke into a residence in the 1200 block of Robbins Street. Both Martin and Robinson sexually assaulted a female juvenile inside the residence, investigators say.

The victim of the sexual assault was treated for injuries but because of her age, her name is not being released.

Robinson and Martin were taken into custody the following morning. They were taken to the Houston County Jail under no bond.

Deputies: Armed man broke into Polk County home, raped woman in bedroom

    Jun 19, 2017

POLK COUNTY, Fla. - Polk County deputies arrested a 24-year-old man after he reportedly broke into a home, pointed a firearm at a woman in her bedroom and raped her.

Jerald Dixon, Jr. was arrested and charged with armed burglary with an assault or battery and sexual battery with a deadly weapon.

Deputies say Dixon unlawfully entered the Polk County home after climbing through the window after he removed the window air conditioning unit. He was wearing a shirt wrapped over his face in an attempt to conceal his identity as he approached the residence. He made contact with the victim who was the only person in the bedroom at the time. Deputies say Dixon pointed a firearm at the victim and proceeded to have sexual intercourse with her, without her consent. He then pointed the firearm at the victim and told her to walk him out of the residence. She complied with his requests and then locked the front door of the home and told her roommate what had just happened.

Other residents in the home came out of their bedrooms and checked the house to make sure Dixon had left. A witness found Dixon crawling back into the home through the same window where the air conditioner had previously been. The witness was able to detain Dixon until deputies arrived.

During the post Miranda interview with Jerald Dixon, Jr., Dixon admitted he was in possession of a firearm but he denied pointing the gun at the victim. He also told deputies the sexual intercourse was consensual but he was not able to provide deputies with the victim's name.

Deputies determined that Dixon intentionally and unlawfully entered into the victim's residence with the intent to commit sexual battery and that he had sex with the victim against her will and without her consent while he threatened her with a firearm.

    Well let's see...

Did he own the cat? Calling it a kitten is merely sensational and sewing bias, is a "baby cat" worth that much more than one in it's prime, when it hasn't yet the chance to live a full and long life with its rightful owner? (meaning if this guy killed HIS adult cat, would it be worse than HIS kitten he probably just aquired, probably.)

Did he attempt to destroy the animal as rapidly as possible?

Maybe he had a plane to catch, a sons birth to attend or a job interview. Maybe he had gotten the kitten to keep & have but when it became burden, (and I didn't hear any inquiries into where he was headed, his urgency, or why,) then how can we judge the actions of his own property?

Proper protocol for many live small livestock is a wrung neck or bonk on the head/ decapitation. If he purposefully threw the animal in order to kill it, as fast as possible, and not to cause injury, and in that botched euthanasia required remedial intercranial solebotomy, then I guess we'll have to see the codes governing euthanasia and specific wording on the cruelty to animals charges,... it sounds to me like he was boarding with it with intent with intent to keep it, and then when they put up roadblocks to his progress he simply destroyed his property to comply.

Ever have to throw out a pack of smokes of fifth of some alcohol at the airport or before going somewhere? Lose a favorite pocket knife, canopener or knitting needles to tsa to catch a flight?

How much is a kitten worth? Check on craigslist. They're free everywhere I've ever live. How many are put down a day in the US? How many barn kittens/unwanted puppies DROWNED or shot?

Real conservatives don't BS people about their property including animals. To some your chicken nugget is torture, and to be honest, I'd rate what a mcD's chicken goes through, all 999999 million of them, at a worse existence than this small cat had for 1 second at the end of it's life. I'd give away an "instant" death RIGHT NOW for a guarantee of a 2 second one...

but I guess it depends on your stance on property rights, and how much government is enough, and if you are willing to GO TO WAR over *THIS* cat ..(not *your* cat..) but are you willing to go to WAR and put YOUR family and fortune on the line for THIS guys property?

I'm not. But then to me the prospect of kidnapping, caging & killin people over kittens just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

    People First. Rights.

I don't think this guy was a saint, and I don't stomp kittens, but I'm giving him a pass property ownership grounds. Get him for the wallet!
If I was born in Kenya, I'd be President by now.

INDEED . . . and then again "maybe" he's just a POS . . . as would seem to be suggested by the statement: "Police reported he had also taken money out of someone’s wallet during the bus ride".

though I don't disagree AT ALL with the logic of your position on government v. people first and rights, the picture painted by the history as reported suggests an individual angered by someone in a position of authority advising that "the cat couldn't ride" with the end result being the cretin in question choosing to regain control by disposing of the cat in the most violent manner possible rather than simply setting it down and boarding the train . . . you know - something NORMAL RATIONAL HUMAN beings would choose to do . . .

Dennis Rodman once claimed he had 8 children by 10 different women.
WTF? Negro math must have been the basis for common core math. Or is he saying that he was poking 10 different women, and 8 of them got pregnant? Well, at least he can afford his child support payments, should he choose to make them.

I'm surprised we don't see more stories that start out "Homeowner shoots man as he......."

Man accused in rape, slayings of two women now charged in 2014 rape

FORT WORTH -- A 23-year-old man accused in the rape and strangulation deaths of two North Texas women just days apart has been indicted in the 2014 sexual assault of a third woman, this time in South Padre Island.

Reginald Gerald Kimbro was indicted Wednesday on charges of aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault, confirmed Yvette Vela, a spokeswoman for the Cameron County district attorney’s office.

The charges stemmed from a 20-year-old Tuttle, Oklahoma woman’s claim that Kimbro had choked and sexually assaulted her on March 21, 2014, at the Isla Grand Beach Resort on South Padre Island.

Police arrested Kimbro, but charges were later dismissed by the Cameron County district attorney’s office. Cameron County officials have since stated that the charges were dismissed “pending further investigation.”

Vela referred any questions why the 2014 case had only recently been presented to a grand jury to District Attorney Luis Saenz. Saenz is out of town this week and not available for comment, she said.

Records show the sexual assault charge was added Tuesday against Kimbro, who remains in the Tarrant County Jail.

His total combined bail is now set at more than $2.1 million.

Dad accused of severely beating infant daughter — on Father’s Day

A Brooklyn man beat his toddler daughter on Father’s Day so badly that prosecutors said the little girl is not expected to survive.

Shaquan Taylor, 19, fractured the skull of 16-month-old Nylah Lewis as he viciously attacked her during a visit to his Coney Island home Sunday, officials said.

The child’s mother found the tot lying on the floor after she came to the residence because Taylor called her and said the child was crying, police sources said.

As the mom tried to dial 911, Taylor started beating her, according to cops.

He then fled, before being captured by police a short time later.

The little girl was taken to a Brooklyn hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

“The child is not expected to live past the next 24 hours,” prosecutors said at Taylor’s arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court Monday night.

Taylor, who told cops the child fell, was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Doctors, however, said the injuries, which include brain damage, “could not have been caused from falling.”

The dad was ordered held in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Witness recalls horror of seeing dad pushed onto subway tracks

A Broadway actor recalled the horrific scene at a Midtown subway station when a homeless man shoved a Queens father to his death in front of an oncoming Q train in 2012 — a moment captured by a Post photographer.

“He had been hit by the train and was smashed between the platform and the train,” Dale Hensley testified on the first day of Naeem Davis’ murder trial in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Hensley said he heard Davis, 34, and Ki Suck Han, 58, arguing moments earlier on Dec. 3, 2012, at the 49th Street station.

“I heard one of them say, ‘Get the f—k away from me! Stay the f—k away from me!’” said Hensley, who did not witness the fatal push.

He next heard someone blurt out, “Oh my god!” and he turned to look. “I saw someone was lying on the tracks,” he said. Soon after, the downtown train rolled into the station and crushed Han to death.

Prosecutor Heather Buchanan conceded in openings that Han “was drunk, he was belligerent, he was staggering,” and he even threatened to kill Davis, who asked him repeatedly to stop following him.

“[Davis] yells at Mr. Han, ‘I don’t know you! Leave me the f—k alone! Take your motherf—king a— over there!” Buchanan said. “[Han] continues standing there in his drunk, oblivious state, looking up into the face of the defendant.”

But she argued that Han’s obnoxious behavior didn’t justify Davis’ deadly reaction to the inebriated stranger.

“He throws Mr. Han into the air, Mr. Han flies onto the subway tracks,” she said.

She told jurors that Post freelance photographer Umar Abbasi, who photographed Han’s final moments, saw “something flying through the air, something he describes as like a sack of potatoes.”

The conductor, she said, did everything he could to stop the train once he saw the man on the tracks but was too late.

Davis calmly picked up his cup of coffee and coldly watched as the train struck Han then strolled out of the subway station to run errands at about 12:30 p.m., the prosecutor said.

Defense lawyer Stephen Pokart insisted that Davis had acted in self-defense.

“Mr. Davis had damn good reason to think his life was in danger,” the attorney said. “Mr. Davis is the man whose life was repeatedly threatened despite demanding to be left alone.”

The lawyer said that Han had a blood alcohol level of .24 — three times the legal driving limit.

“The push was not depraved,” Pokart said. “It didn’t reflect the wanton indifference to human life but a wish for Mr. Davis to protect his own life.”

These two guys heard people running up behind them fast, and never turned around. Condition White in NO is majorly stupid. Being in NO at all isn't real bright, actually.

I lived in the area for 20 years and avoided NO like the plague. Just visited Baton Rouge and it's become intolerable, so won't be going there again either.

208 Bienville is a major tourist parking area right between the aquarium and Jax Brewery. Usually a pretty high traffic area. At night there would likely be a lot of drunk tourists in the area. Parked there many times day and night.

Just escaped BR a few weeks ago for a more rural area. Crime is getting bad there.
