    Trucker Strike 11 - 13 Oct 2013? (DENNINGER)

    http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=224363

So What's After My 9/11 Protest? October 11-13th

Some of you may have wondered if I meant it when I said that:

We pledge that should this protest be ignored we will escalate with additional consecutive days of similar protest in coming months, until our demands are addressed.

    I did.

And now Truckers are saying "enough!"

Sounds good to me. I like their dates too -- October 11-13.

So here it is folks -- Round #2 -- October 11-13.

Find their Facebook group here and commit to it yourself. https://www.facebook.com/truckerstos...ica?ref=stream

If we get just 10% of America on board the entire game changes.

Especially when the business world -- and government -- realize that the next one is Black Friday weekend.

    All of it.

I believe it was ConcernedAmerican's comment or it could have been Denninger's:

"I know many of you think this is silly but it is an ACTION which doesn't come with the risk that simply garroting your CongressCritter at the local Whole Foods comes with. Now there will be plenty of time for that in the weeks and months ahead..."

    Or words to that effect.

Boy, if they can get it organized, and drive to DC, it would surely send a message! Of course, with diesel the price it is, it would cost them some $$ to get there, so not certain how many would do it. A shut down would do enough!

I have stated this many times in the past that this is the last group of people that can on a large scale bring things to a halt and get everybodys attention. In 3-4 days stores would be empty and mo meds being delivered. I hope it happens on a large scale, just make sure your preps are topped off.

If the stores run out of food, booze and potato chips, the low information voters will start rioting. Gotta top off my popcorn preps, it could get interesting.

Last year the American Truckers Association prepared a report for Congress highlighting the susceptibility of the nation’s just-in-time delivery system, the majority of which is made possible by the transport and delivery of freight. In the event of a catastrophic disaster such as a war that drives fuel prices through the roof or even a natural disaster such as a solar flare that renders electronic trucks inoperable, there would be a “a swift and devastating impact on the food, healthcare, transportation, waste removal, retail, manufacturing, and financial sectors,” according to the report.

The backbone of commerce in the United States are the truck drivers who spend long hours on the road ensuring our very survival as a modern society.

But with fuel prices continuing to rise, wages dropping, jobs becoming harder to find, and rampant corruption in Washington D.C. furthering the country’s economic death spiral, America’s truck drivers, like the majority of our fellow citizens, are fed up.

Between October 11th and 13th they have called for a general strike, asking truck drivers around the country to refuse to haul freight, a move that could carry with it a significant impact on the American economy.

The protest calls for truckers to make their way to Washington D.C. in a massive convoy in an effort to call attention to, among other things, the Benghazi cover-up, the recent attack which killed 25 members of Seal Team 6, ever rising fuel prices, and claims that President Obama has engaged in treasonous crimes.

Moreover, they’ve requested that the American people join them in solidarity by not shopping or engaging in any economic activity that benefits the government or their corporate interests.

The American people are sick and tired of the corruption that is destroying America! We therefore declare a GENERAL STRIKE on the weekend of October 11-13, 2013! Truck drivers will not haul freight! Americans can strike in solidarity with truck drivers!

Breaker 1 9 calling on all Trucker to shut America down for three days October 11-13. The American people are bleeding out with no relief in sight, It is time to change the NEWS. Let us show our elected officials that we are 100% fed up with corruption and the blatant disregard of the Constitution that they swore to defend.

Bob tail it hammer down to the bull$hit city with flags flying high.

My fellow Patriot this effort is to support the truckers in a major shut down of America ion a 3 day strike October 11th thru 13th.

Obamacare will be in effect and most people will be ready to take action. No commerce on those days stock up on items that you will need. No banking no shopping no money transactions. It does not matter If a million or 50 roll through DC in this effort. Congress will listen to We The People. Which is remove Obama from office for crimes of treason and misdemeanors. We want Congressional hearing on Benghazi and Seal Team 6. Louis Learner put in jail. No amnesty, remove all Muslims in our government that do not uphold the Constitution. Remove Eric Holder from office for crimes against the people and the Constitution. Last but not least is Fuel prices.

Via: The Truckers to Shutdown America Facebook Page

The protest comes on the heels of a massive biker rally held in Washington D.C., and other grass roots efforts to hold the government to account for various Constitutional transgressions including everything from stripping Americans of their right to bear arms, to forced health care mandates soon to be implemented across the country (with exemptions for members of Congress and corporations with insider access, of course).

Calls of accountability have grown louder over the years from all political sides, starting most notably with the Tea Party movement and progressing to Occupy Wall Street.

The corruption and need for real change in America’s government has transcended political lines.

If the hundreds of thousands of truckers across America who keep our delivery systems running efficiently were to join together and stop hauling freight for even a week, the impact would be devastating and could not be ignored.

There’d be no food on the shelves, no fuel at our gas stations, and no medical supplies at our pharmacies and hospitals.

Congress and the President, who would like nothing more than to be perceived as our saviors and benefactors, would have no choice but to address the concerns of freight haulers, because the American people would feel the effects of the protest directly. And, chances are they’d be in the streets protesting themselves because of lack of access to essential goods they can’t live without.

We may often feel as if we, as individuals, have no power against the mighty United States government, but as Karl Denninger points out, we have much more power than we think.

If we get just 10% of America on board the entire game changes.

Especially when the business world — and government — realize that the next one is Black Friday weekend.

Just 10% of Americans can change the course of history, much like they did during the Revolutionary War.

Whether it happens in October, during Black Friday sales this November, or at some point in the future, this seemingly untenable situation is coming to a head.

Robert Kennedy may have said it best:

A revolution is coming — a revolution which will be peaceful if we are wise enough; compassionate if we care enough; successful if we are fortunate enough — But a revolution which is coming whether we will it or not. We can affect its character; we cannot alter its inevitability.

TEACPTB (the evil and corrupt powers that be) may consider an intentional act that harms commerce, impacts transportation, and effects infrastructure, as an act of terrorism.

Not to worry, they'll just bring in Mexican truckers to take over. [/sarcasm]

That's exactly what they did in the So-Cal Ports of Long Beach & Los Angeles in the early/mid-80's.

Funny thing is, these 'replacement' drivers attempted to organize a few years later, and the local dray age companies just flooded more Hispanics in and defeated their efforts.

Glenn Beck is talking about it right now on radio! He's VERY concerned about it happening from the "JIT" standpoint and explained how that works and WHY id's gonna be a catastrophe if they go on strike. Not that he disagrees with the premise, mind you, just the consequences. He's on commercial now, might come back and talk more.

I hope they do it and all the stores are empty for a few days. Maybe then some of the sheeple will wake up and keep more than 3 days worth of food in their house.

There have been a couple of these proposed over the years and so far nothing has come of it. We shall see. My guess is that people aren't fed up enough to strike yet.

As to Black Friday, there has been a move for a number of years (usually led by granola-crunchers of various sorts) to abstain from commerce on Black Friday, aka "Buy Nothing Day"---some of us extend that for the whole weekend, as a reaction to obsessive consumerism.

Count me in. I don't think it will work though. Everyone is out for their own self interest and these Mexican truckers out here in Ca. won't even know it is going on.
I would love to see the real Truckers blocade the 15, the 10, and the 60 freeway corridors and the back way to the Port of L.A. through Palmdale. And block the railroad tracks on Cajon pass.
Oh well, one can dream can't they?

By the way, paid 4.29 for diesel a week ago.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the trucking companies brought in Mexican truckers.

How much does a junker 53' box trailer sell for? One on its last legs? Wouldn't even want it registered, if it was just gonna get 'parked' someplace useful and left...

I support this too, but I don't see the government letting this to go on for very long. They know how the riots will start when there are no groceries or meds. They will step in someway and stop this from getting out of hand.

10 'Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment' Teams is joining Trucker Protest/Strike!

'Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment' teams with 'Truckers To Shut Down America'

    September 22, 2013

The group, "Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment" announced today that they will be teaming up with the "Truckers To Shut Down America" group, the brainchild of a concerned American and a former trucker, Zeeda Andrews.

Both groups are nonpartisan, sharing a common goal of disgust with the federal government's disregard of the United States Constitution.

"Overpasses" plans to be out in full force, calling the effort a "patriot wave" in order to support the truckers who will be making the trek across the nation to Washington, D.C. on the weekend of October 11-13, 2013.

The truckers are calling for a "General Strike" in order to protest "the corruption that is destroying America," according to their Facebook page, which surpassed the 80,000 "likes" mark today.

The "Overpasses" group announced today that on Friday, October 11, the group will "will support the truckers" by protesting on America's overpasses. The post reads in part,

"We need to be out there, cheering them on their way to DC!"

The Examiner spoke with Zeeda Andrews, who responded to the outreach of the Overpasses group with gratitude. She said that she is working on getting a banner that says, "Ride for the Constitution." When asked if everyone is invited to attend, she said,

"Hell yeah, this is about the restoration of our Constitution," she said. The group welcomes "all parties all races..."

Giving more insight to the purpose of her organization, Andrews said that truckers

"...can no longer remain silent to the UN-Constitutional regulations that are endangering the lives and livelihoods of many on the road...it is more that we can bear."

The "Overpasses" group's main Facebook page, at the time of this writing, has passed the 50,000 "likes" mark, but each state also has a Facebook page, listed here. The trucker group even inspired a Facebook page in Germany, illustrating that citizens around the world are frustrated with corruption in the government.

    This is politics.
Nothing happens in politics that isn't planned.
I see the powers that be are really behind this proposed truckers strike
to stir up division and strife in the sheeple.

A strike would not bother me in the least, but I will stay out of the way.

Good reason to declare martial law and have the government take over the truckers?

Didn't they do this with the Air Traffic Controllers? Wasn't that Reagan?

Good reason for the government to give all those driving jobs jobs to all the towel heads and Mexicans.

IF this grows any steam and they actually DO IT, then yes, you are going to see some action take place within a couple days.

and Facebook is silencing the admins (they just got off a probation)

I am reading some of the comments, seems to me that some really don't understand why things have gotten as bad as they have.

Lots of "Get Obama Out" / "Wish things were like they were in the old days"

Don't they realize that the entire system is corrupt, there isn't anyone honest to put in place anymore. As to the bring things back the way they were.....what, back to when the ponzi scheme was new and wasn't broke. I for one wish people back then were a little more aware and put an end to the shit before I grew into the monster it is today.

I certainly hope they get it done.

I have a friend who is a driver however while he supports it, he cant join in as he drives for a company, he is not independent, so I hope there are enough out there that it would make a real difference.

And I back those independent's 100%. It's about time they mount up en masse, I'm tired of seeing the lone tough Cowboys driven into the dirt going down one at a time. I watched the slow erosion of independent truckers in my So-Cal Port area over the last 30 years and was screaming about it when my middle America cousin thought it was a funny Kalifornia problem back then. (What's uP Cuz Trend's haPPen)

Mount up, ride hard. It is in the interest of national security that we preserve good jobs that are the backbone of our national infrastructure. Your American heritage paid for this. Do not give it away!

What is the bottom line value of national security?
    What is your freedom worth?
    Never mind, just get'er done!

A lot of former independent's got forced into these company jobs along with logistics specialist and many other fields, that could show support for such an action, as a side dish to this event.

If something like this is to have any impact or succeed it must cut them off for an extended time until they give in, in other words if you're going to battle with an aggressor that started it, it's war.

For maximun effect it would have to be unified with the ports and target the rails. That won't happen, so it will be up to the IT's to deny rail hub p/u and deliveries. The cadence of rail logistics is a very fine tuned operation, once upset it flutters to gain equilibrium and sends FUBAR oscillations throughout the Intermodal infrastructure. I saw this firsthand in 97 when a couple big rails were simply attempting to merge.

Even a regional display of non-compliance could become problematic for the rest of the supply line. Not something that is fun to contend with for sure.
