Thread: Prayer Request

    Prayer Request

    My son is asking for mighty prayer warriors to please pray for him tonight and early in the morning.

    He has been unemployed since the beginning of the year, living hand to mouth and just trying to take care of his family of 5 (with another on the way) by doing whatever odd jobs he can get doing whatever he needs to do to get the bills paid and keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. It's been rough. Really rough.

    He has a job interview first thing in the morning. It's the first really good steady job offer he has had in all these months of trying to find work. It's hard work, but that doesn't scare him, and the boss seems a reasonable and fair man and the job is at a fair wage for the work he would be doing. He would be very thankful to have it and just be glad to have a paycheck coming in that would take care if his family and lighten the burden a bit. He really is at the end of his rope and really needs this job.

    He has asked that I put his prayer request on our church prayer chain (done) and to also reach out to others I know who will pray and ask them to pray that he gets this job and can start right away.

    I know we have some mighty prayer warriors here....so will you please pray?

    Thank you so much!

    God Bless you!
    Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

    The problem is that people keep screaming:"The wolf is coming, the wolf is coming!" so often that we never notice the coyote that is running off with the chickens.

    Praying, but...

    Tell your son to read Proverbs 3: 5,6

    5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
    and lean not unto thine own understanding.
    6 In all thy ways acknowledge him,
    and he shall direct thy paths.

    This is a promise made by HE who CANNOT lie.

    "Is it reasonable to expect wisdom from the ignorant? Fidelity from the profligate? Assiduity and application to public business from men of a dissipated life? Is it reasonable to commit the management of public revenue to one who has wasted his own patrimony? Those, therefore, who pay no regard to religion and sobriety in the persons whom they send to the legislature of any State are guilty of the greatest absurdity and will soon pay dear for their folly." --John Witherspoon,
