    MOBILE, Alabama --
    Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he's in critical condition.

    According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.

    Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.

    Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. "It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed." Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using "brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on."

    Police will only say "multiple people" are involved.

    What Parker says happened next could make the fallout from the brutal beating even worse. As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said "Now thats justice for Trayvon." Trayvon Martin is the unarmed teenager police say was shot and killed February 26 by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Samford, Florida.

    Police canvassed the area, but did not find any suspects. They're asking anyone with information to call them at 251-208-7211, Crime Stoppers at 251-208-7000, or text a tip to 274637 and include the keyword CRIME 411.

    If a group of people were attacking a family member of mine on my porch, I would shoot everyone on the porch.

    I'm sick and tired of hearing about these wild animals grouping together in this pack mentality. It's one thing if it's one or two people involved, but when it becomes a group like this, it's a war.
    Responsibility should always lie on that of the individual, and also the consequences for the lack there of.

    Depending on how hot the summer temps are this year I'm fully expecting the general population to decline. Between the Martin/Zimmerman mess and Occupy Stupid Street a whole lot of stupid is about to unfold, people are plain jumpy and many are stuck ,and solidly so, on stupid. Coming to a cul de sac near you and soon.

    not one person on that street had a gun to go out and stop this? I can't believe that one, I tell ya, people don't want to get involved, but they best start because if you don't , they will be coming into you neighborhood soon.

    I hope O. is a proud man tonight, he and jackson, sharpten, and that no good preacher wright. he has been spouting off too. they are the ringleaders in this.

    well when the whites rise up, its not going to be pretty. I wonder if they do realize that.
    and the whites will rise up to be sure. this has to be stopped.

    think about a shot gun loaded with bird shot. sure would have saved this man.BUck shot would have also helped . this is horriffic.
