18 Hey Who Turned Off The Heat?

It looks like the warm spell is over for a while, tonight its now 39F and their saying it's going down to 28F, I lit the wood stove around 8:30 9:00PM.

If you hear a knock at the door its probably the house plants wanting to come in from the cold.

This is not good we have many peach trees that are in full bloom and much more.

Gives me a chance to burn this pile of cherry and ash rather than return it to the woodpile. Looks like we get back to the 60s tomorrow.

Ya'll are breaking my heart... Been in the mid-upper 80's here the last few days. Bugs & mosquitos are multiplying, well, faster than rabbits.

My peach trees, too. I am more worried about my 200, or more, bats! They came back 10 days ago. Found 2 dead (starved) a few days later . I have 3 commercial cookie pans under the houses, so I can tell by each day's "droppings"whether they ate well the night before. I am afraid to check on them tomorrow. It is 28outside now. Their Summer homes are on either side of my Chimney, but the heat (and smoke) won't go sideways. Shuckins!
I asked GOD for all things that I might enjoy LIFE. He gave me life that I might enjoy ALL THINGS.

Throw a sheet over some of your peach tree branches, you might be able to save them.

Or, before the sun rises, turn irrigation or a sprinkler on them.

Peaches are too precious to lose to a frost.

N.CA - 2 feet of snow expected tonight. Heard the frogs croaking and waking up two days ago. Have seen signs that fur animals have awakened from hibernation. Hope they all go back to bed

I think it was redirected down to us here in the south since we've been mid to upper 80's lately. You can have it back because come May, June, July, August, September & most of October we'll have had our fill.

Somebody mention hay? Not here - yet. Except what remains in the top of the barn.

Last week was in the low 80s. This week so far high temp around 50. And back to below freezing overnight each day.

This be more normal for this time of year.

Heh. We're under white-out conditions here, entire island is shut down!

It was the 80's for the last two weeks. This week is the mid 70's. It is getting cold at night again. Screwy weather. Heck I have had my windows open for the past three and a half weeks now.
