17 Aide says Cheney had heart transplant

I have always liked the Dickster!

A few years back the wife and I were invited to a meet at greet/dinner with him, his wife and Congressmn Shimkus at a GOP event in St. Louis.

Nice man and his wife is a major babe in person!

Don't know if he should have received a heart at his age, guess he still has enough power to receive a new heart over the others on the waiting list...

    I wish him the best!

    SIRR1

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former Vice President Dick Cheney had a heart transplant Saturday and is recovering at a Virginia hospital, his office said.

An aide to Cheney disclosed that the 71-year-old, who has had a long history of cardiovascular trouble including numerous heart attacks, had been waiting for a transplant for more than 20 months.

"Although the former vice president and his family do not know the identity of the donor, they will be forever grateful for this lifesaving gift," aide Kara Ahern said in a written statement that was authenticated by several of the Republican politician's close associates.

Cheney was recovering Saturday night at the Intensive Care Unit of Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., after surgery earlier in the day.

The former vice president suffered a heart attack in 2010, his fifth since the age of 37. That year, he had surgery to have a small pump installed to help his heart keep working. It was one of the few steps left, short of a transplant, to stay alive in the face of what he acknowledged was "increasing congestive heart failure."

The pump, called a left ventricular assist device, is mainly used for short periods to buy time for potential transplant candidates awaiting a donor organ. The fact that doctors resorted to it illustrated the perilous condition he was in.

In July 2007, he had had a minor surgical procedure to replace a device that monitored his heartbeat. Nearly 20 years earlier, in 1988, Cheney had had quadruple bypass surgery, and had two artery-clearing angioplasties and the operation to implant the device.

In 2005, Cheney had six hours of surgery on his legs to repair a kind of aneurysm, and in March 2007, doctors discovered deep venous thrombosis in his left lower leg. An ultrasound a month later showed the clot was getting smaller.

In January 2011, Cheney said he was getting by on a battery-powered heart pump, which made it "awkward to walk around." He also said he hasn't made a decision yet on a transplant, but that "the technology is getting better and better."

Cheney said then that he'd "have to make a decision at some point whether I want to go for a transplant."

Cheney served as former President George W. Bush's vice president for eight years, from 2001 until 2009. Cheney was a lightning rod for criticism during Bush's presidency, accused by opponents of often advocating a belligerent U.S. stance in world affairs during wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Doesn't sound to me like he got any special consideration for a transplant if he was on the waiting list for 20 months. Of course, I have no idea if that is super fast, or an average waiting time for a compatible heart.

Wow, hope he heals quickly. That he was only on a list for 20 months is surprising for as many years he has had that bad ticker.

He would have proabably been a better president than Bush.

Cheney is as evil as they come! I read a book by a woman who had been mind controlled by the government, starting as a young child, and she reported being sexually abused by Cheney, as well as by others in high places.

I cannot think of the name of the book, and I only remember her first name....Cathy. Perhaps someone else reading this post will remember. Her experiences were horrific, and she has written other books, also.

Really? She must have been not only pretty hot for her to get passed around by the power elite like that, considering the hordes of sex slaves they must have at their disposal. Got any pics? And this all started when she was a young child? Imagine, those evil neocons plotting over a young child like that.

Oh, and post the name of her psychiatrist when you remember her name.

    Sheesh.

I hope this answers some of you doubting Thomases. This book was a real eye opener...the author was mind controlled and sexually abused as a young child, by her father, and was taken over by evil people in the government. It has been several years, since I read the book, which I no longer have. It is still available.

In the book she names several people who will be recognizable to many, including a Catholic priest, whom one of my family members knew. She also mentions George H. Bush, if my memory serves me correctly. And, of course, Cheney.

The author was slowly rehabilitated, and is now a Dr. She has written several other books, one an expose' on Billy Graham, one on the Mormon church, and one on the Masons. She is now Dr. Cathy Burns, and her books are still on Amazon. This book, her first, is listed under Cathy O'Brien as the author.

If those of you who can't believe some of this would take the time to get one or more of her books, I can guarantee you will be shocked, but have to believe what she says.

TRANCE: Formation of America" By Cathy O'Brien with Mark Phillips. This is the documented autobiography of a victim of government mind control. Cathy O'Brien is the only vocal and recovered survivor of the Central Intelligence Agency's MK-Ultra Project Monarch mind control operation. Chiseled deep into the white stone of the CIA's Langley, Virginia headquarters is a partial verse lifted from the Holy Bible and writings of Saint John...""and the truth shall set you free." This statement, like the agency, is total reality. The building that it is engraved upon houses the world's most successful manufacturer of lies to facilitate psychological warfare. The "Company" uses truth and technology as their raw materials to produce "pure" lies for control of you and America's allies. ($19.95)

For all those who agree that I' ve been snookered, I challenge you to read Cathy's book on how she was mind controlled. It is a known fact that this govt. has such a project. I have another book about it.

I've got nothing against Cheney. I think he loves his country and did what he thought best.

But I do have to question the character of a 71 year-old that would take a heart from a younger person. A young Mom or Dad, or a kid.

Cathy O'Brien...the book: Trance Formation of America. I haven't read the book. Cheney was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a group I consider to be working to bring down America...and to me, that is evil.

Here is some background on the book...do not wish to copy and paste for reasons you will note should you decide to read it:

Thanks so much for the backup, Moggy and Vicki. I had hoped that I wasn't alone in knowing of Cheney's shady (to put it mildly) past.

From what I have read, elsewhere, he pretty much told G.W. what to do. I have also read that he was behind the plane being shot down over Shanksville, PA, on 9/11. I read that he gave a pilot the orders to shoot it down. Nothing is as the public has been told.

I read this book a few years back. I believe that there was a mind control program but I found some of her alleged experiences more than I could believe. My mother read it as well and she's liberal to her core and even she didn't believe it.

Well, the way the system is SUPPOSED to work, SOMEONE from the NCA (National Command Authority) needs to give that particular order, and since the POTUS is out of the loop, then the VPOTUS has the keys.
If he did indeed give an order to shoot, that means that the system worked the way it was supposed to.
And you act like it is somehow wrong???

Remember that when Barry the Post Turtle is out of the loop, Biden holds the keys....

Now this is something I know about, since this is where I live. The govt. did NOT shoot down the plane, however, they would have if it had continued toward Wash DC. And that would have been the RIGHT call. So, total non-issue.

Night Driver.....the point IS that we have been told, all along, that it was the brave men on that plane who wrestled with the box cutter hijackers, taking down the plane, when, in fact, the passenger plane was shot down, on the orders of Cheney.

If this is what was supposed to happen, why wasn't the public informed of this, instead of the melodramatic story of Todd Beamer, who supposedly phoned his wife from the plane, when that would have been impossible, back then, from what I have read.

In plain language, the MSM fed us all a line about how the passengers tried to save the plane, when in fact, our govt. actually shot it down, probably with a missile, according to one or more witnesses I just looked up, in a book about the event. The military pilot was given the order, but of course ,that story seems to have disappeared. I believe I even saw his picture, with the article, at the time.

    knepper:
I have the book "Flight 93" by Victor Thorn and Lisa Guliani, and if you'll take the time to read it, you will be shocked to find out we have been lied to about. There are a lot of questions answered, but still some left to answer. These authors did a thorough investigation of the event, and the book is still available....a paperback, easy to read. But, I know there will always be people with closed minds who don't want to hear the other side of the story.

Thanks, Ainit, for your tribute to the man being discussed. I totally agree. How about in an Iraqi prison, for what he and Bush did to that country and its people?

knepper.....this is NOT a non-issue. I have a book which goes into detail about the event around Shanksville. "Flight 93" It's an eye-opener. I strongly advise you to read it, especially since you live in that area....you will learn that a lot you have been told is B.S.

And, would I want to reach Cheney's autobiography? You can be sure he won't be admitting to all the evil in his past! But, I seem to be more well read on some of the dirt than the average jimoke.

IIRC, the average point at which one is considered no longer a candidate or a transplant is age 57 or so. Of course, we all know that some animals are more equal than others, don't we...?

    Michi,
The left has always hated Dick Cheney with a passion. The left also has no regard for the truth--the truth is whatever serves the cause of socialism. This is all you really need to know about the years of unrelenting lies and smears directed toward Cheney. Your book revealing 'the truth' about Flight 93 notwithstanding.

Cheney got us into the illegal Iraq war. He ran Haliburton, who got the no-bid contract for pretty much the entire war. He orchestrated the torture of captured enemy combatants. In short, the man is a war criminal and should be in prison.

knepper, Surprise! I'm no leftie....I'm about as far right as they come. Ron Paul is my guy! I am really an Indpendent, since there is scarcely any difference between Demopublicans and Republicrats. But, I like the fact that Ron Paul stands by the Constitution, and would not keep sending our military off to fight endless wars of aggression, when other countries have not threatened us.

Thanks, Dennis....you are spot on with that info. I know that I read that Bush doesn't dare travel to a certain European country (was it Belgium?) or he would get hauled in for war crimes. And, IF my memory serves me correctly, that is also true for him and Cheney going to Canada. I'm quite sure I read that, not too long ago.

Norman Mineta Confirms That Dick Cheney Ordered Stand Down on 9/11

Former Transportation Secretary Disputes 9/11 Commission Report Timetable for Dick Cheney and Reveals Lynn Cheney Was Also in PEOC Bunker Before Attack

Former Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta answered questions from members of 9/11 Truth Seattle.org about his testimony before the 9/11 Commission report.

Mineta says Vice President Cheney was "absolutely" already there when he arrived at approximately 9:25 a.m. in the PEOC (Presidential Emergency Operations Center) bunker on the morning of 9/11. Mineta seemed shocked to learn that the 9/11 Commission Report claimed Cheney had not arrived there until 9:58-- after the Pentagon had been hit, a report that Mineta definitively contradicted.

Norman Mineta revealed that Lynn Cheney was also in the PEOC bunker already at the time of his arrival, along with a number of other staff

Tuesday, March 13, 2012War Criminals Bush and Cheney Can No Longer Travel Outside the U.S.

    Eric Blair
    Activist Post

Everyone in the world seems to recognize the obvious crimes perpetrated by the Bush/Cheney regime. Their overwhelming negative status in the world has now confined them to personal prisons where they can no longer travel abroad for public events. It appears they're only welcome in heavily-secured private dragon lairs for the rest of their waking years. But even those locations are shrinking for these torturers and mass murderers.

Cheney, scheduled to speak in Toronto with his daughter next month, had to cancel the speaking appearance due to "security concerns stemming from their experiences in Vancouver in September 2011," according to a press release about the event.

    Michi,
I don't doubt that you consider yourself a right-wing person, and yet you believe this laughable tripe put out by the loonie brigade on the left. Mind control? This is why I despair that the Repubs are going to be able to defeat the Communist. Leftist disinformation has made inroads into everything.

knepper.....the author of the book "Flight 93" is definitely not a leftist. He writes regularly for the very conservative newspaper, "American Free Press."

And, if people disagree with Cheney and Bush, that doesn't make them lefties. Many people who used to be Republicans have come around to see that their leaders have feet of clay, and have become Independents.

When I learned that the Oklahoma bombing and 9/11 were inside jobs, and that the war with Iraq was planned, before 9/11, and that the so called "Patriot Act" had been conveniently written before 9/11, along with many other egregious acts planned by different administrations (both Dems and Repubs) it has become obvious that none of our so called leaders are worthy of our respect. Including the present holder of the office of President, whom I consider a fraud.

There are any number of books and DVD's that would open the publics' eyes on the above subjects, if people would just learn about them, and read. Trouble is, too many people don't WANT to believe we are being lied to! It's easier just to not rock the boat. I want the truth, no matter what!

We went into the war with Iraq under false premises---we were told it was because of WMD, but later, it was admitted that was a mistake. In the meantime, untold numbers of innocent Iraqis were killed (I have read there may have been a million people, counting the deaths resulting from our sanctions, when needed supplies could not reach the citizens, as well as the relentless bombing. I will never forgive Bush and Cheney for that terrible period in history.

Those people still do not have dependable electricity or water supplies, from what I hear on alternative radio. Many Iraqis have said things were much better under Saddam. (No, I don't think he was a nice guy, but he kept things under control....the various religions lived in peace....I heard an Iraqi lady talk about that, when she was a guest on a radio show I listened to. Now, you have the constant conflicts between the Shiites and the Sunnis.

The depleted uranium used in our bombs and bullets have caused countless Iraqi deaths from cancer and horribly disfigured babies being born. I have seen pictures of these babies, and it is sickening what this war has done to those poor, innocent families. (It is also causing our soldiers' children to be disfigured, at birth, or with serious medical problems.)

People are not allowed to save the seeds from plants they have improved, over the centuries, and now, no thanks to Monsanto, the seeds have to be bought from this despicable company....many farmers have killed themselves, since they can no longer use their own seed, and it is too expensive to keep buying Monsanto's seeds, which do not reproduce.

Something that really upset me, was that when our military first went into Iraq, they destroyed a very important part of their history, by damaging historical relics of their past, in their museums. Every nation needs to have its history.

I am not excusing Bill Clinton, either. He used D.U. when bombing Kosovo, which was another terrible story of what we did to the Serbs, a Christian country. We don't get much news out of that country, or even Iraq, anymore.....remember one thing.......the victor writes the history.

I wonder if you really believe that our soldiers are in Afghanistan are there to protect our freedoms? Anyone who believes that is in lala land. We are there to "protect our interests".....the country has a great many precious metals, minerals, and we wanted a route for oil transportation. Not to mention that our soldiers are protecting the poppy fields....we are making huge amts. of money with the opium traffic, since going over there. (The Taliban had stopped the poppy industry, but it's going like gang busters, now!)

I get the impression that you don't read or hear much away from mainstream media, which, after being a member of this board, you must know is controlled. About 5 people own the major networks, and the public gets to hear what we are allowed to hear. Ever notice that when you switch channels, you get mostly the same national or world news?

That is why I am SO thankful for the internet radio programs I listen to, hours everyday. I also subscribe to several political newsletters.
We also get a lot of valuable news right here, on this board, for those who take the time to learn from it.

I love to learn about what has happened, and what is now going on. I just wish I could remember everything I read! I urge you to seek out some other sources of news than what you have....you will be surprised at "the rest of the story". Sorry to be so verbose. Just wanted to help you get interested in checking out some missing pieces to your puzzle.

Well I'm guessing when OBAMACARE goes into effect NO-ONE over 40 will get a transplant of ANY kind....
There is another type of warfare—new in its intensity, ancient in its origin—war by
guerrillas, subversives, insurgents, assassins; war by ambush instead of by combat, by
infiltration instead of aggression, seeking victory by eroding and exhausting the enemy
instead of engaging him. It preys on unrest.

We are there to "protect our interests
You say that as if it were a bad thing. Any sane country (which under Obama we no longer are) protects its vital (meaning life or death) interests Access to Mideast oil, unfortunately, is a vital interest.
But that has more relevance to Iran at this point than Afghanistan. I do think that the Iraqi war was a mistake, mainly because all of our gains are in the process of being p*ssed away by the current illegal regime in DC. I suppose I could blame Cheney for not predicting that a future administration would undo all the gains of American arms in Iraq. He should have expected that I suppose.
And if you think I believe the MSM about anything, you clearly do not know me.

The Iraq war was ILLEGAL UNDER THE US CONSTITUTION AND US LAW. Additionally, it was the very first "war of aggression" prosecuted in the history of the Republic. And it was simply because we didn't like SoDamn Insane.

Yeah, great reason to totally violate US law, custom and ethics. Any right we EVER HAD to take the "moral high ground" anywhere in the world was lost with that war and the associated torture of detainees.

And you support it. Speaks a lot for who YOU are as a person and an American...
