Who was trying to do that? All criminals have no justification for their crimes and should pay for them. I'm pointing out the racial bias here. Someone would have be daft to not understand that as I have clearly stated it the a special ed, third graded would have understood.

Three white men involved in the beating and fatal rundown of James Craig Anderson, a black Mississippi man, pleaded guilty Thursday to federal hate crimes. The three admitted to a months-long pattern of brutal harassment against blacks. Twenty-year-old Dylan Butler, 19-year-old Deryl Dedmon and 19-year-old John Aaron Rice entered the pleas in federal court to conspiracy to commit a hate crime and to committing a hate crime. Authorities said the investigation continues and there could be more arrests.

The three are from the town of Brandon, a Jackson suburb, and were accused of going to the majority-black capital city on numerous occasions to harass or assault black people.

The harassment began in April 2011, culminating in the death of Anderson, a 47-year-old car plant worker, on June 26.

Prosecutor Sheldon Beer said the three harassed or assaulted black people who they thought were homeless or intoxicated. Victims were chosen because they thought they would not tell police, authorities said.

Each was charged with the same two crimes. They face up to five years in prison on the conspiracy charge and up to life on the hate crime charge. Sentencing is scheduled for June 8.

In state court on Wednesday, 19-year-old Dedmon pleaded guilty to murder and committing a hate crime and received two life sentences.

Butler and Rice were accused of driving around Jackson and throwing beer bottles at people before meeting up with Dedmon the night Anderson was run over.

In entering his guilty plea to the state charges on Wednesday, Dedmon admitted he and a group of white teens were partying in Puckett, a small town outside Jackson, when he suggested they find a black man to harass. They found Anderson before dawn outside a hotel.

During the state court hearing Wednesday, Dedmon asked the victim's family for forgiveness."

"As I stand before you today, I am a changed man. I am a godly man. God has showed me to see no colors. God showed me that we are all made in the image of God so we are all based on the same thing," he said. "I do not ask y'all to forget, but I do ask y'all to forgive."

Meanwhile, Rice is charged by the state with simple assault in the case. Rice has pleaded not guilty in that case.

Most people who live on TB should remember it. It did involve drugs and a deal the boys were saying went bad.

That is no excuse for what they did and should not change the punishment.
The crime is on video and testimony of the other boys.
They were charged with a crime AFTER and investigation and they go to trial.
That's the way the system is supposed to work for everyone, INCLUDING Zimmerman truthseeker.

I also agree with most everyone else. Having a special category of "hate crime" is just a way to punish some people more than others. Murder is murder the punishment should not depend on what your were thinking.
Hate crimes are just another liberal invention to try and bend reality to their skewed sense of the way things ought to work.

Did you ever stop and ask yourself what are the odds that these white kids JUST SO HAPPENED to drive 16 miles and JUST SO HAPPENED to pull off JUST THE exit where there was JUST THIS ONE black target of opportunity waiting there, by himself, in the pre-dawn darkness?

Also, did you ask yourself why this motel parking lot just happened to have a surveillance camera trained on it (as stated in the article)? Ya' think maybe it was because the Jackson police knew the spot was known for drug deals and had it under surveillance on purpose, and they just happened to luck into catching this whole thing on tape?

Also, you'll notice that it took over a month to get CNN involved and try to get this spun up into the latest au courant "hate" crime horror story for the liberal establishment to fawn over. This happened back on June 26th. What took so long? If this thing was some sort of "legit" hate crime (as "legit" as the fictitious creation of "hate" crimes can ever be), wouldn't it have had "legs" of it's own, without a month's shit-stirring by the liberal pukes at CNN to try to make it so?

Something else from the local level that you couldn't possibly know: There's a very high likelihood that CNN's attention was directed to this incident - knowing that they would play it up as a "hate" crime - by none other than the Hinds County DA's office itself. Hinds County DA's are notorious for trying to "hero-ize" themselves in the eyes of the black community for the purposes of getting themselves appointed to high federal DOJ offices during liberal administrations (read up on Bobby Delaughter vs. Byron de la Beckwith back during the Clinton administration -- better yet, read up on what became of Delaughter's super-race-crusader self well after the fact - http://articles.cnn.com/2010-01-04/j...ts?_s=PM:CRIME - He didn't get the federal appointment he was angling for, but he DID end up being a state judge, until he undid himself later on. People tried to justify it and down play it by saying it was a drug deal gone bad. That was the case. I called BS at the time.

Now Trayvon's murder is being Justified because he looked thuggish and was climbing over Fences. The fence part is an outright lie. Trayvon cutting through the yards was trying to get away from his murderer. The yards were a common area, similar to what would happen in a Garden Complex.

At least Mississippi didn't take a month to make arrest.

As far as Hate crimes, I agree With terry. They should be charged with the crime they commit. The hate part just shows intent.

Read my post and the posts of many others. Nobody is justifying the murder.
The murder is on video and the perp deserves the same punishment whether he killed him because he was black or he was pissed about a drug deal .

Zimmerman is saying he killed Martin in self defense and there is/was a lot of evidence to support that. If it is later discovered that he didn't, he will be charged.

Aren't nearly all crimes hate crimes? We need designations and categories now? No, we don't. It's a purposeful labeling so in the future, anyone not marching lockstep with current regimes can be singled out for special punishment.

The very concept of "hate" crime is repugnant, because it automatically makes some victims' suffering less important than other victims. The problem here is lack of the death penalty. The scum who killed this innocent man should be hanged, and not after 20 years of appeals and gazillions of dollars.

All the animals who participated should be executed if they caused physical harm that led to the man's death. Any that did not physically participate should be beaten publically. Pain and shame is the only way to stop crime (as well as a culture that teaches right and wrong to begin with). Every murderer should face excecution, it is a crime that murderers are protected and supported for life is shameful.
