well, since I´m not a native English speaker, please forgive my mistakes.
I had a dream last night that was upset me , because it was in English Language(!), in a place that I´ve never been before - probably in a big US city as seen in the moovies -
In short I saw several military dressed people conferencing in place like a bunker with heavy doors with some dark looking civilians and in front of them was something like a miniature of a plane WWII bomb. They were talking about a bomb drop and mentioned August and something about "david kroket like" or "davy croq mode" or something similiar and then I wake up.
Can you make something of it? Or it´s just my disturbed mind from too much internet? meds

Re: Weird dream

Interesting....

The Davy Crocket (sp?) was the smallest US made nuclear artillery piece. It was made to be fired from a small tripod by one or two soldiers. Supposedly discontinued in the 1960s, I believe.

Re: Weird dream

Remember the alamo is a part of amercan dreaming, a chink into the mytho-psyche of the loud brash ´septic tank´ version of america, and quite lickely the american version and response to suicide bombing/attack politics(but being american TPTB, it means sacrifing everyone else except the leaders), IMO

If the dream is for real and you can never tell from someone on GLP then it is strange that then someone comes on with the info the the Davey Croket is a small nuke.

Plus the August dates of something happening have come from not only other dreamers but from folks who say the terrorist plan something on the historical dates we dropped bombs on Japan. Aug 6 and 9 IIRC.

here's some pics of the davy crocket battlefield nuke:

Davy_Crocket1.jpg

Davy_Crocket3.jpg

Davy_Crocket2.jpg

The Davy Crockett (shown here at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland in March 1961) was the smallest and lightest nuclear weapon ever deployed by the U.S. military. It was designed for use in Europe against Soviet troop formations.

The Davy Crockett consisted of an XM-388 projectile launched from either a 120-millimeter (XM-28) or 155-millimeter (XM-29) recoilless rifle (the 120 millimeter version is shown above). This weapon had a maximum range of 1.24 miles (120 millimeter) to 2.49 miles (155 millimeter). The XM-388 casing (including the warhead and fin assembly) weighed 76 pounds, was 30 inches long and measured 11 inches in diameter (at its widest point).

The W54 warhead used on the Davy Crockett weighed just 51 pounds and was the smallest and lightest fission bomb (implosion type) ever deployed by the United States, with a variable explosive yield of 0.01 kilotons (equivalent to 10 tons of TNT, or two to four times as powerful as the ammonium nitrate bomb which destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995), or 0.02 kilotons-1 kiloton. A 58.6 pound variant?the B54?was used in the Special Atomic Demolition Munition (SADM), a nuclear land mine deployed in Europe, South Korea, Guam, and the United States from 1964-1989.

Nevermind...found a link.....very interesting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Crockett_(nuclear_device)

One of the smallest nuclear weapons ever fielded, the Davy Crockett was developed in the late 1950s for use in a tactical confrontation with Soviet troops in West Germany. Small teams of the Atomic Battle Group (charged with operating the device) would be stationed every few kilometers to guard against Soviet attack, using the power of their nuclear artillery shells to kill or incapacitate advancing troop formations and irradiate the area so that it was uninhabitable for up to 48 hours, long enough to mobilize NATO forces.

The M-388 round used a heavy version of the W54 warhead, a very small sub-kiloton fission device. The W54 weighed about 51 lb (23 kg), with a selectable yield of 10 - 250 tons (very close to the minimum practical size and yield for a fission warhead). The complete round weighed 76 lb (34.5 kg). It was 31 in (78.7 cm) long with a diameter of 11 in (28 cm) at its widest point; a subcaliber piston at the back of the shell was actually inserted into the launcher´s barrel for firing.

The Davy Crockett could be launched from either of two launchers: the 4-inch (102 mm) M28, with a range of about 1.25 mi (2 km), or the 6-in (155 mm) M29, with a range of 2.5 mi (4 km). Both weapons used the same projectile, and could be mounted on a tripod launcher or carried by truck or armored personnel carrier. They were operated by a three-man crew.

Both recoilless rifles proved to have poor accuracy in testing, so the shell´s greatest effect would have been its extreme radiation hazard. Even at a low yield setting, the M388 would produce an almost instantly lethal radiation dosage (in excess of 10,000 rem) within 500 feet (150 m), and a probably fatal dose (around 600 rem) within a quarter mile (400 meters). With no shielding or protection from either blast or radiation, a Davy Crockett crew would have been unlikely to survive an engagement without long-term health risks.

The warhead was tested on July 7, 1962 in the LITTLE FELLER II weapons effects test shot, and again in an actual firing of the Davy Crockett from distance of 1.7 miles (2.72 km) in the "SMALL BOY" test shot (LITTLE FELLER I) on July 17. This was the last atmospheric test detonation at the Nevada Test Site.

Production of the Davy Crockett began in 1956. 2,100 were produced. The weapon was deployed with U.S. Army forces from 1961 to 1971.

Versions of the W54 warhead were also used in the Special Atomic Demolition Munition project and the AIM-26A Falcon.

so what are atomic grenades then if not fusion?

and it seems to me that they would easily have better longer ranged delivery systems for that warhead now, i wonder what a chopper gunship would look like with a system similar to hellfire but using these warheads would be classified as, the equivilent of a division or brigade maybe?

Re: Weird dream

noone,

have you had significant or precognitive dreams before?

the munition should have been painted white and another color
can you possibly recall the other color.

"davy crockett mode" is a valid term which indicates probable target is a building.

if you tell me the right color that would be evidential as all get out.

not many people would know anything about davy crocket missile. its very obscure. it was also dismantled and used as parachute and backpack demolition well after official decommission. the heavier ,,,well i better shut up on that.

it was used secretly in vietnam and northern laos a few times on targets hard to get at.

Kthomas, I had once a precognitive dream many years ago, and since then nothing...I think the bomb I saw in my dream was matt black with 4 fins and metallic black head separated optically with a white ribbon... it reminds me the plane bombs of WWII only much shorter and fatter.

I take most of what is at GLP with a grain of salt. I have seen people make up subjects to respond to (themselves) under a different name. I found watching the Dr. Burisch saga unfold entertaining, as the security folks at casinos were making up posts. I thought wow what an unusual experiment for someone studing human behavior. Bigalew or Brezenski? But I did get my Davy Crockett book off the shelf and refresh my memory.

Hand to Hand Combat

As they climbed to the top, they were immediately thrown back dead or wounded. The ladders overturned , but their places were instantly taken by others. This was repeated again and again, until the garrison was practically exhausted with the terrific struggle.

The Texans fired at random from behind the bags. There was no need to aim as the foe was massed so densely before them. The Texans had several rifles apiece, and when these were discharged, they used them as clubs. It was a stupendous struggle and the number of the enemy was overwhelming.

The clash of firearms, shouts of the defiant Texans, and scream of the dying, maddening yells of the Mexicans, and shrill commands from the officers, combined with the martial music of the bands, created a scene beyond description.

Mexicans Enter Post

The enemy finally gained the outer walls, forcing the garrison to retreat to the chapel, where a cannon, beside which Travis fought, was turned on the Mexicans in the courtyard below.

The fierce battle continued from room to room in the Alamo, between the small group of patriots and the seemingly endless hordes of Mexicans. In one of the rooms, used as a hospital, the sick and wounded fired rifles and pistols from where they lay.

The Mexicans loaded a cannon with grape and canister and turned it upon these sufferers. When the smoke cleared fourteen mangled and blackened bodies told the dreadful story. While at the entrance to the room forty Mexicans lay sprawled in death.

I sure hope someone isn't considering making a nuke statement at the Alamo! This would certainly create some mixed emotions about the border. If anyone wants me to continue with the last three pages of the book I will. Just don't want to take up too much of the future with history we all should remember.

Thursday night I had a weird dream as well. Driving in the car with the wife, and some friends. We were on some back roads going who knows where, and saw a bright flash. I remember asking the people in the car what it was (wife tells me I talk in my sleep. LOL This would have been one hell of a one-sided conversation hehe) I said "Was it lightning or something else." Don't remember any answers. Fast forward to us walking along the side of a highway (local road which I can pinpoint) with alot of other people walking along. Most everyone was carrying bags and suitcases. There are a few cars driving but not many. Had a general feeling of TSHTF. Fast forward again. I get to my dads, drop my stuff in the garage, and go inside. Whole family is there, but noone seems to know what happened. TV was on. Then I woke up. Weird.

Want to tell us what region of the country you're in? Are you near one of the supposed cities on *their* list?

Hot damn! Time to lock and load! They don't want to mess with Texas! Even Hitler cowered in his bunker when he heard a couple of Texas Rangers were going to go to Germany and arrest him. And folks, it still holds true today. Yep, "Remember the Alamo" will take on a whole new, world-wide meaning if'n they dare to mess with it. I shudder at the thought!

Jim Bowie's Last Stroke

Colonel Jim Bowie fought desparately from his sickbed. The Mexicans awed by his bravery feared to approach until finally two of them raised their rifles and fired at him from the doorway of his room.

As Bowie lay mortally wounded, one of the Mexicans rushed forward to complete the work of the rifles. With a supreme effort the Texan raised himself, grasped his assailant, drove his famous bowie knife into the body, where upon both fell dead.

The remaining six Texans were fighting savagely, surrounded by General Castrillion and his soldiers. Among those were Travis, and Crockett, so worn they could hardly stand. Crockett stood with a shattered rifle barrel in his right hand and a huge bowie knife in his left.

Crockett's Desperate Attempt

There were a score of dead and dying Mexicans stretched at their feet. General Castrillion called to them to surrender, promising they would be spared. In the Mexican Army there were a few brave and humane officers, among whom were Generals Castrillion and Burdillon.

The promise of amnesty was probably made in all sincerity, but when Castrillion and several officers approached the scowling Santa Anna and appealed for the few survivors, the latter flew into a rage and order all shot.

Colonel Crockett, seeing this act of treachery roused himself and springing forward like a tiger with his bowie knife aloft, dashed at the Mexican leader, but before he could cover half the distance, a dozen swords plunged into his body. The other prisoners received the same fate.

Remember The Alamo

Colonel Davy Crockett died as he had lived, gallantly and fearlessly, but before he and the one hundred and eighty-two Texans died, they had slain over a thousand Mexicans. The only survivors of the Alamo were a mother and her babe and a negro servant.

Santa Anna proceeded to overtake Colonel Fanning, who left the fort at Goliad to join Houston, but on the way met the Mexicans, who greatly outnumbered them. After a bitter battle they were taken prisoners and later murderously butchered.

"Remember the Alamo" became the battle cry, and it was not long after that General Sam Houston and his Texans decisively defeated the Mexican Army and captured Santa Anna. Thus Texas became an independent republic in 1837, and was admitted to the Union in December, 1845.

The End

Hey I also have (1903) Cinderella and the Glass Slipper by Will Gibbons

Since we're talking about weird dreams I had one Friday morning right before I woke up that really stood out to me.

Twelve magicians flew into my back yard - which in the dream was a big beautiful forest.

The magicians all wore beautiful long sky blue robes with tall hats of the same
color. They were elaborately dressed and had traditional long white beards. However, they were evil.

When they landed in the trees they transformed into newspaper. Some of them were
wrapped around the base of a tree, others where lying in the branches. It looked
as though someone had taken twelve pages of newspaper and just tossed it into the woods.

End of dream.

In the Bible the number 12 represents government. A magician is someone who uses illusions or slight of hand so that you don't know what is "really going on." I don't know if the dream actually represents anything real or if it's just my subconscience knowing that things are happening that we're not being told.

It's weirding me out how badly NASA is trying to get more aircraft up in the air and the way they rushed this last shuttle even with problems right up to take off. Plus they want to send out another bomb to hit a comet this year. What's with all the space stuff all of a sudden?
