WTF?!? Is It Any Wonder?

I started thinking about why America & Many Americans aren't taken seriously at all any more and then I watched this.

If other Countries/Nationalities/People see this nonsense it is no wonder that respect for Our Country is nil. I can almost see why TPTB have trashed Our Constitution when this type of behavior is being allowed to walk in any store/streets/etc! Hell, TPTB think we are ALL useless miscreants on the dole! After all to Get respect as a People one must Have respect,Ya think?

And NO, I am NOT siding with ANY .Gov entity, I just now put my thoughts in TPTB shoes for a moment when I saw this.

These Photos are a grim reality that Many folks have thrown their lives into the trash can, and don't tell me that 'they' don't know any better. It is NOT alright to venture out in public looking like these people! One will go to jail for a minor offense in this country, but folks are allowed to publicly engage in their sick exhibitions without any repercussions?

Somewhere the gene pool missed a chromosome!

Beware...content is disturbing.

Yeah, and I've heard when they travel overseas they are extremely tacky and rude to the countries they visit, so no wonder!

The Obese Man crapping in His Van in the parking lot was overkill.

Can you imagine walking to your car with Children in tow and walk up on this unexpectedly?

Kids.."Mom, why is that man is pooping on Himself"

I'm glad I don't venture out too much..geeze

It's just hard not to laugh at people so hideously mentally unbalanced like that. It makes you wonder how they stay alive or something....

I laughed out loud myself, and it hit me.

I wonder how some manage to feed themselves and I'm not talking about 'handicapped' people, or maybe I am.

This is the epitome of mainstream America at it's finest.

Ohh God, imagine a natural Disaster hits and those who are not prepped, stagger into this Ilk?
lol

Please, someone, tell me that these shots are all from one state....hopefully all from one town.

I hope so, but I have seen some really crazy people in Many states.

California comes to mind, back in 81 at LAX.

And I love Cali!

We cannot escape the Zombies no matter where we live...sometimes.

I agree, this is disgusting
and reflects very badly on America.

Well, the business world promotes all that Pepsi and Mountain Dew the fat slovenly woman in pink has in her cart that I posted the video for above. Look at her, years of swilling that crap by the caseloads, giving money to the machine to poison herself to death and look gross while she's at it. Are people really retards, or just simple people who listen to the commercials and then get addicted? Nobody tells them it's bad for them, except on internet boards, which obviously they don't go on. The ads all say how wonderful the garbage is. With aborted fetal cell testing too! Now how can you not trust the big corporations? LOL

btw. There are a lot more reasons why the world has lost respect for America, as I know you are all aware.

I would guess that in most (normal) places, seeing someone like that would be rare, or those must come from a targeted population somewhere. Wherever it is, I'm glad I don't live there!

You know, this video would be really good for my diet.

After watching that, I may just never eat again.

And if I'm tempted to, all I have to do is watch it.

Oh, and btw, I saw a perfect example of the above in a Wally-world the other day.

Two women of the Obamish persuasion in front of me were waiting in the Customer Service line to do a return (as was I).

One had her baby with her.

The other -- rather large -- 'lady' had a T-shirt that read:

"I have the pu&&y, so I make the rules."

Not kidding.

In public.

sheesh......

What does this mean? Black? Just say black. Obama being black has no bearing on his character. The people who raised him to have the values he has, had influence over his character but ultimately, each individual decides on their own character. That is deeper than skin color. Based on the racists Obama had as mentors, from college through Jeremiah Wright, and the people he now admires and aligns himself with and the policies he has made, I can make a direct character analysis based on his actions that he is racist against whites. We should not make judgements on people based on color. Comments like "Obama persuasion" or "guess what race?" seem to me to be occasions that exhibit racism, too. I don't want to be like Jeremiah.

Yes, Bams is a racist. I absolutely knew that when I read once that the comment he made about his white grandma was that she was, "a typical white person." That frosted me. Jeez, you'd think he hated his own white half self. I believe he would disavow it if he could.

It's obvious some of these are people dressed for Halloween, but then there are the others that have...uh... very individualized taste, and those with no taste, don't know it, and wouldn't care if they did. Of course we can also spot those who are trolling for the opposite sex, same sex and kinky sex. Some have gained weight and don't seem to realize that no, those pants and shirts did not shrink, and no, you don't look sexy wearing your bikini with only a tee shirt and sandals. And no, wearing your 13 year old daughters clothes does not make you look young, especially when your figure is causing all the seams to shred. Spandex. We won't even go there, it should be outlawed. Period.

What gets me is the pajama people, why on earth do people go out in public in their sloppy, wrinkled nastyazz pajamas? Were you really so tired that you didn't have the energy to change? I see those at our Walmart often.

You know, it said under the video description that those pics came from all over the country, but I have to say I never see that here. Sloppily dressed people sometimes, but not THAT magnitude. I think it's too cold most of the year for that.

Flipper, I too would like to know what the whole 'wearing your pajamas in public' thing is all about! I see it all the time when I'm in North Bend, Wa.

And yes Spandex should be outlawed. Most the people I see who wear it give them the body appearance (as my very old and late mom used to say) 'overboiled hotdogs'. Phew!

The only Walmart that I've been to were the customers never dressed like those from the "People of Walmart" is over in Lake Chelan, Wa. Rich or poor, they all show some class and self respect. V

This sort of "apparell" is just about never seen here in Canada. Even in hot summer. We also don't have near the obesity problem. It's quite a stark difference when crossing the border, where this is concerned. The two countries are vastly different in some areas, culturally. Of course, this is just my subjective experience. But I don't think it is too far off.

They're not pajamas, vessie, they're 'casual wear,' and while I don't go out in mine, I do hang out in them at home. They're cotton, comfy, inexpensive, and loose fitting, which is great if you have injuries and aren't terribly mobile.

If I were a betting person, I'd be willing to lay a pound to a pinch of salt that the national percentage of obese individuals (45+%, isn't it?) probably holds true for TB2K members too. 'Course I've been known to be wrong before. :p

Personally, I've never 'understood' the semi-flashed buttock syndrome, and I think that 'dumplings' large and small ought not to be 'boiling over'!

YMMV.

Knickers! You must be from the east! I see 'This sort of apparel' just about everywhere in BC and Ontario and all points in between. As for obesity, we have just as much of a problem statistically (and observably) as the rest of the Americas. I could shoot you a bunch of stills like that on any day of the week - minus the Halloween costumes - maybe!

Isn't that interesting. I've been in Walmarts from Ontario to B.C. and currently live in B.C. (Vanc. Is.). I have rarely seen this kind of outlandish clothing style. As far as obesity, there is some, but it does not seem to be as prevelant as when I have been south of the border.

I must be wearing rose colored glasses or something.

I need to be more doomer, so I can start seeing what's going on around me.:lol:

Willdo, I live in Atlanta.

There is a HUGE black population in Atlanta.

Some areas of black population are middle-class.

MOST, are not.

And if you are not aware of what the black-ghetto culture is and how it acts, --- well, all I can say is you must live way out in the country, and if so, good for you.

But I would not advise you coming to a majority black area and being polly-annish about what you would expect as far as treatment from same, your personal safety, and a multitude of other factors.

Did you read the thread about the man beaten in NC?

Did you read my thread a while back about my being personally confronted in the Driver's License office by a black man because he didn't like what I was reading?

Have you been keeping up with the threads on the MANY, and GROWING, attacks of GANGS of black youths on white people--usually totally unprovoked? The victims' ONLY crime being that they were WHITE?

Have you no knowledge of the crime statistics of the black (especially urban) population as a whole?

Now.

Am I saying it is this way because of their race or skin color?

Absolutely not.

But I AM saying it has become part of their CULTURE.

It has become part of the very DEFINITION of "being" black, especially in urban areas.

Eubonics
Gangs.
Drugs.
Welfare.
High out-of-wedlock birth rates, absent dads, single moms.
R&B/hip-hop/rap.
Entitlement mentality.
and
HATRED of whites and the assumption that if whites have ANYTHING the blacks have a RIGHT to TAKE it from them, since ALL whites are "racist" and only have what they have because they've "oppressed blacks" either now or in the past---so that makes it ok to steal, rape, murder, carjack, plunder, etc.

If you don't believe this, fine.

I dare you to walk / drive alone in Techwood Homes, East Point, East Lake, any area south of I-20 and between or near I-85 and I-75 (Pittsburg St. is in that area---if that rings a bell, remember a few weeks ago the video of the VICIOUS beating of a gay BLACK man by a gang of other young BLACK men as he walked out of a corner grocery store? Again, it is NOT the race--but it IS the culture and way of thinking.)

It is said that what makes us weep is the truth about us, whether we know it, or like it, or not, and the same is true of what we instinctively laugh at.

After reading (and viewing) this thread yesterday, I couldn't get it off my mind; it disturbed me, and it still does.

If we are worried about the fact (?) that people elsewhere don't respect Americans, and I'm assuming that refers to all North Americans, I sincerely doubt that it's because a few overweight people don't have enough self respect to dress modestly.

I find more cause for shame on our part in that not one of us asked why those people (yes, they're people) are morbidly obese and so obviously lacking any knowledge of social propriety.

It is difficult to believe that anyone would choose to commit slow suicide and endure a severely limited and diminished quality of life, so... what went wrong in their lives? What is wrong in their lives and why aren't we helping instead of laughing?

Perhaps outrageous 'fashion' statements are the only way the desperate have to say, "I'm here and I matter." Or perhaps they have no hope or joy in their lives and simply don't care anymore - who knows? I don't, and you don't, but why don't we know? Why don't we who know better care?

We're failing to 'Love thy neighbor,' ladies and gentlemen, and in so doing we're failing to love God.

If Americans have lost the respect of the rest of the world then I should think it's because we're guilty of neglecting (failing to love) the weak, the desperate, and the needy amongst us. Many of these people may only need a kind word or two, or someone to listen, or a sincere smile.

How would you view (judge) these people if you were blind? Would you listen for a hint of kindness in their voices? A trace of sadness or despair? Would it matter to you if the person who let you skip ahead of them at the checkout were overweight and/or dressed outrageously?

If all we can see is the outer shell then I submit that we are blind by choice, and for that we should all be ashamed.

I'm reminded of Moses who stepped out of the palace and did not notice the splendor of Egypt, but rather the suffering of his people. And also of the two brothers walking down the road and seeing an unwashed child ravenously devouring a wedge of stale bread. One of the brothers noticed the bread; the other one saw the hunger....

No wonder indeed. :(

I do live south of the Canadian border and don't see much of this in my local Walmart. Yes, there are obese people in the store from time to time, but not like the overtly obese as you see in these photos...certainly no transvestites....that must be California.

The MAJOR issue isn't the video, it's our REACTION TO the videos that brands us as provincial, sheltered and terribly isolated.

Another issue we have is that the (unfortunately) TYPICAL American can't seem to understand that increased volume won't translate English into someone else's language.
